I work at a foundry in Neenah, WI and have one of these hammers in my hand the majority of my work day. It’s the perfect weight for knocking off small flashings from castings as well as knocking off 10lb risers and gating. If used properly it works just as well as a 6lb sledgehammer. The pointed side adds a much more precise blow for more power and helps get into tighter areas. I love this hammer.

I was very disappointed with the final finish of the face of this hammer. It looks like it was done manually without much attention paid to the angle of the edges of the face to the sides of the hammer The angles are not even at all.

As with all (I’ve heard) new hammers, I had to dress the face and peen with my grinder. Is standing up well to smith-work. Would be 5 stars, but the handle is a bit thin, so can rotate in my grip while swinging
