I needed a replacement nail punch set in a hurry so I bought this at a local hardware store at two times the cost…what a bummer, as usual HD has the best price. I’ve used my much older 40 year old nail sets that are shorter, and getting the tip into corners while doing baseboard trim is much easier now with the longer length. It’s also easier to grip the rubber coated barrel which absorbs some of the shock as well. It’s great that they are now color coded so it’s also much faster to grab the right size. My friend & I just used them for trim and he also said these are nice nail sets. A little tip, these also work great to help line up holes for screws while putting together things like shelves & cabinets. I like the color coating for the ease of identifying them in my pouch, and it does help a bit when working outside up here in the dead of winter. I don’t think the steel is quite what my old ones were, but then what is today.

These are great nail sets. The rubber grips help prevent your hands from sliding and improves accuracy. Plus they’re comfortable which is helpful if you’ve got a lot of nails to set. Quality steel stays in good shape after repeated impact.
