I have several different multi-bit screwdrivers including a larger Stanley one, but this stubby thing is my go-tmo tool. I don’t know if it’s really true but I feel like I have more power with the short handle and shaft, my hand feels much less stressed, and it’s easier to keep the bit in the head of the screw when you’re in an awkward position. Definitely recommend.

This is a nice little medium duty stubby ratcheted screw driver with interchangeable bits conveniently stored in the handle. Comes with straight and Phillips type bits but will take other type driver bits, (Square, Torx, etc.) used with other standard hex shank driver units. This is so convenient, and for the price, you should have it in your tool box. The day will come that you’ll need it and you will then appreciate it. Yep, a nice little unit. I rated it as excellent because you must first understand its intent, then evaluate it for what it is. It IS a neat little occasional screw driver, it IS NOT the best little do-all screw driver in the world, (but it’s close with respect to its intended use!). Buy it NOW!

Thought this was going to be the same as a Stanley stubby that I bought 2 years ago. Turned out that they redesigned the cap. It’s now a twist on instead of an actual screw on. Top does not lock well and keeps falling off. However, the stubby itself does work as expected.

I own 3 of the larger ratcheting screwdriver from Stanley I love them so much. I came across this stubby ratcheting screwdriver and use it for so many applications. I love that I can palm the screwdriver and be close to my work. I use both the ratcheting and lock feature. All the bits stored in the handle is very convenient. I would only request that Stanley design a better locking cap since I twisted it off in the middle of a job while ratcheting a few times. But otherwise, I love this stubby tool so much I also bought 3 of them for my garage, boat, and truck. I’ve always liked the quality of Stanley tools and other products since I bought my first set of chisels and tape measure in 1979 for my cabinet making certification.

Stanley the stubby ratcheting screwdriver is great! I hada project where neither a hand drill nor a regular screwdriver would fit. Stanley did! Magnetic bit hold is great. And for only $10! The bit storage top pops off occasionally and the bits are a bit hard to extract from their holder – but again, can’t complain about a $10 multi use tool.
