Perfect size and options with included screw-driver bits. Can grip it really well. Don’t know why I didn’t have this in my toolbox earlier.

Good to have in the tool box. Need to add more bits somewhere along the line for all the jobs. Above average to good quality.

Thought this was going to be the same as a Stanley stubby that I bought 2 years ago. Turned out that they redesigned the cap. It’s now a twist on instead of an actual screw on. Top does not lock well and keeps falling off. However, the stubby itself does work as expected.

I bought this at the same time I bought the Irwin stubby. My thought was to settle on the one I liked best, but ultimately I decided to keep both. This one is a little taller and thinner than the Irwin, but the ratchet drive on it made it a keeper. The handle on this stubby is about average size for a stubby driver. The Irwin is a fatty so there is a noticeable difference. Instead of being round, it’s got a rounded triangular shape. The shape helps provide leverage and ergonomics, and the coating provides solid grip.Between the handle and shaft is the ratchet selector. It’s pretty stiff providing a nice feel when spinning it between on, off, and locked. The stiffness of switching it doesn’t make it difficult, but, instead, adds a nice solid feel to the motion. The ratchet drive itself is about average. It’s not loose like some cheaper ratchets, but it’s not super fine like your more expensive ones; it fits right in the middle. I found the action of the ratchet to be comfortable and sufficient, assisting with tightening and loosening screws, making up for the handle size difference compared to the Irwin. This stubby only comes with the standard flat and philips bits, and they are stored in the handle. The friction fit of them in the lid is pretty stiff and requires a good amount of work to get them out. After several uses, the spaces haven’t loosened up where they are falling out in the handle, but it still very stiff and difficult to remove them. The cavity in the handle the bits are stored in is quite large so you might even be able to fit a torx bit or something else in there. The height of this stubby is a small downfall in it’s design, but the ratchet more than makes up for it. While it won’t fit in the super-tight spaces that the shorter Irwin stubby will, the effort required on screws for this is low. With a solid build, nice features, and good price, it’s a great buy.

OK tool, but not as well made as the one I bought 15 years ago!

I bought it on a whim and it turned out to be something I use all of the time. Just like having multiple screwdrivers and the ratchet makes jobs go much faster.

An absolutely excellent tool, and very inexpensive. Outstanding product when I have to work within very tight places, like when I barely have room for my hand. I have only owned this tool for a couple of weeks, and I can find nothing to dislike about this tool.

My Wife actually purchased this screwdriver and it remained unopened for at least a year. We were remodeling the house with plenty of work to do. This screwdriver helped immensely especially with its ratchetin feature. The round knob also provides plenty of grip for those hard to loosen screws. Now looking for a longer shaft version of this screwdriver.

Home Depot review 2/2/2020 for the Stanley 6 in 1 Ratcheting Screwdriver (stubby). Overall, this is a convenient and useful tool for cramped quarters. Good points are multiple bits, acceptable ratcheting operation, magnetic tip, and bit storage in the handle. Compared to dedicated stubby screwdrivers, this tool is bulkier so it might not be as comfortable for small hands, and it may not fit into all tight quarters. When working above your head, I recommend removing the bit storage module from the handle. Depending on your hand movement, the end cap can come off and the bit holder could fall out on your face. This is not a high end tool but useful for the average DIY’er.

If you work on furniture, vehicles, machines, … or just around the house, you want to hang on to this one. Not from China ! A very cost effective compact tool to add to your collection.

Compare this to others that charge up to $14.00 for essentially the same tool…..everyone can use at least one stubby ratcheting screwdriver…..
