This kit includes 1/4 in. and 3/8 in. drive black chrome sockets and ratchets. There are laser-etched markings on each of the parts for identification. The ratchets are designed with a quick release switch and reversible mechanism. This also comes with a bonus key chain tape measure.

I’ve bought and used other Stanley products . This was average . Pro : price , name brand, warranty , easily marked socket size .Cons : 1/4 inch drive only works in one direction, the case was poorly designed , not user friendly to extract or insert your socket back into the case . Only time and how much use this socket set is used will determine it’s value . I don’t recommend due to case and my 1/4 inch drive was broken . I don’t use 1/4 drive very much so I wasn’t concerned .

This is a good value set considering all the tools it comes with. My favorite attribute is it doesn’t contain any extra filler pieces like driver bits or hex wrenches. The smaller tape measure is quite handy too. The socket set has a good size range for both SAE and metric sockets to include deep sockets. I am not a big fan of etching because it can wear off with use and would have preferred stamping for markings. The case is not as well made as the tools, but for the money spent I’m happy with what I have.

I would have rated it a 5 but the case is poor. The sockets and ratchets are fine and work well. This is my third Stanley set and I like and trust them.However, when I opened the case for the first time, I noticed the sockets were not sitting snuggly in their designated spots and tended to fall out.. On closer inspection, I found that the spots were poorly molded and did not allow the sockets to seat properly.In order to get the sockets to seat properly, I had to use an Xacto knife to modify the spaces so the sockets would fit. Now the case has been altered and the sockets are not held tightly in their spaces. Frustrated and disappointed about the poor workmanship on the case.
