This comprehensive 99-piece socket set from Stanley contains a mix of SAE and metric sizes to complete a variety of fastening tasks. The components are constructed with high-strength chrome vanadium to tackle high-torque applications and are treated with a black chrome finish to inhibit corrosion. Sizable laser-etched markings are carved into the side of each socket for easy readability and wear resistance. Each device has a custom-fit storage slot in the included hard-sided carrying case, making portability and accessibility a cinch.

This is a great set. I lost my old set when I moved and finally got around to replacing. Not sure how I got by without it. Everything is solid built and works well. The only negative is that the case could be better. Some of the wrenches keep falling out when I open it, but that is the only knock I have on it.

The black looks nice, but I find that they are hard to find when it gets dark. Also, everyone complaining about no 19mm deep socket should recognize that the 3/4 inch deep socket is exactly 19mm as well. So the kit is quite capable. The lack of 12mm open end wrench has been an issue for me with this kit however. And I can confirm the sockets do fall out of the holders if the case is shaken by leaving it in the trunk. I wish I had gotten a different kit at this point but it has gotten the job done for me most times.

I’ve had Stanley Tools for years dating back probably to the 70’s. I’ve worked with major brands that cost quite a bit more but have not produced any better. The socket set is wonderful. Easy to use and don’t break. The quick toothed ratchets can’t be beat. They turn a bolt that is hard to reach an easy challenge to remove. I’ve been in the auto repair business for 48 years so you can bet MY last dollar I’m telling the truth. Buy Stanley, you won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful hardware. Case is a little cheap (like all other freebie cases), but good tools don’t belong in a case…Bought this set for a friend, who didn’t end up needing it, so I kept it and replaced my old set.
