I carry my Stanley measurement tape in my purse for a quick measurements in the stores. I like that font is large no need put my reading glass on and it lock so I write down the length and width without someone hold it for me. I also use it for review product and house projects. I love this tape so much have three in arm reach in the house, purse and dresser.

I use this tape measure everyday for my job. I work in a metal fabrication shop.. So far it has held up for 6 months. Since using this tape measure my measuring has been pretty spot on. I love the size of it. It wasn’t too bulky or too small. It is easy to hold in one hand. For how long it has lasted you can tell it was made of great quality materials. I love how smooth it operates when sliding back in. The color is nice of the tape measure and makes it stand out so it’s easy to always find. When measuring I enjoyed how clear the markings were on the tape measure. Overall a good tape measure that would make a good addition to everyone’s tool collection.

Was initially pretty disappointed with this tape – the “auto lock” feature was worse then useless, as the tape always creeps backwards when extended more then a couple of feet, and always if held vertically. There is no manual way to lock it, other then putting your thumb on the tape.I did find a fix for this issue – remove the 3 screws holding the case together, and put a shim piece (I used small piece of a plastic credit card) behind the steel leaf spring that pushes the plastic wedge into the reel, in order to increase the locking force. Seems to work great now after this simple fix, no more tape creep. Seems like a poor design or poor quality control though – shouldn’t have to do this on brand new tape in order to get it to work as designed.Also worth noting – this thing feels pretty heavy!

Earlier this year I needed a tape measure and bought this one and love it. One reason is the auto-lock set which helps if you are alone and need an accurate measure. The tape auto rewinds and have used it many times while putting up shelving in the basement. I highly recommend it especially if you are a pro and do a lot of measuring alone. You set the measure and record it without having to hold it.
