I have been in construction for the last 12+ years and have always used Stanley tape measures. I have mostly used the 25′ tapes but this time decided in the 16′ instead. It’s a great tape for carpentry projects where anything over 16 feet is unnecessary. Fantastic tape measure, once again. Thanks, Stanley!

I say a good ruler because with working in the welding field i run into times when i need a tape measure that i need to do certain project for clients that need to be in millimeters and have to have a different tape measure

I tried to get my hands on one of these tape measures for months! Finally I got my chance to get one. I was not disappointed! The smaller size and rounded edges made it comfortable to carry and use. A vast improvement on an already quality product. Just wish that I could pick it up in my regular store instead of having to order on line.

I’ve been using fat max tapes since I started doing carpentry full time about 8 years ago. I have 16, 25 and 35 foot but the 16 is by far my favorite for most daily use. The date makes is the most accurate and stable while extended.

Can’t go wrong with a fatmax. Long stand out. Tape is sturdy. It fits nicely in the palm of your hand. The only thing wrong with it is that the bottom has a bump the makes it rock back and forth instead of sitting flat. Otherwise it’s a great tool.

This tape measure is heavy duty and really will extend out 11 foot with out any support. The protective coating feels thick and thats important to me because i use my tape measure daily.

This review is for Stanley Fat max 16ft Tape Measure. The size is small but heavier than I expected it weighs just as much as my 25ft (different brand) . I like the american flag on the front. The grip is very comfortable. I would have liked to see more rubber molding. I really like the belt clip works great easy on/off pocket on my shorts. The tape itself is wide with large numbers to include the 16 on center red numbers and really nice durable coating however I prefer a fractional tape measures. Having all the fractions is just easier. The tape locking mechanism works smoothly and to unlock works smoothly however it does retract very quickly the quickest of all my tape measures.

I received this tape a few weeks ago. The size and feel of the tape is very comfortable.Blade standout was as advertised.Tape markings are very legible and easy to read.I especially liked the new style belt clip .Heavy duty and also has a plastic piece behind it to keep tape secured to belt .Size and weight were very reasonable.Nothing negative to say about this tape measure

I received this as a sample from Stanley, it’s extremely lightweight for a tape measure. I have a tape clip on my belt and you can hardly even tell it’s there. My only addition to this tape measure would be if it could somehow be made with no metal in it for substation use.

I have long been a fan of Stanley tools. I have a couple of older fat max rulers and love them. This little tuffy lives up to the reputation and then some. It is smooth and solid. The new tape material is great, not sharp on the edges and it does extend far as it claims to. Highly recommend for those jobs where you don’t need a huge measuring tape but still want a quality one. the look is tough with that black rubberized casing. Very cool and usefull
