I have the 35′ Fatmax tape measure and found it to be the BEST one I ever owned. I love the extra length and its ability to strechout 13’+ without bending. Its constuction is top notch and I believe the advertizment on the package that says “Survives A 50′ Drop”. It fits well into a man’s hand and is easy to lock in any extended position. The tape is very easy to read – even without my eyeglasses on.

I have had many tape measures both Stanley and others. This is now my go to tape. It goes on my pocket easily and stays in place. Yes, it does have the reach, but I like it for the shorter measurement. The tape is more stable and doesn’t flop around. You can pull it out and use it like a yard stick. Lock the tape and it stays. The hook is fixed in solidly in place for an accurate reading. The numbers and divisions are easy the read. A must for the DYIer or Pro. I have already told my friends to get one.

This tape measure is very compact for a 35’ tape. It’s about the same size as most 25’ tapes, just a bit heavier. The tape is big enough that it is sturdy and the markings are easy to see. The markings are clear and easy to read, unlike some tape measures I have that a too busy to read easily. The clip is very simple and sturdy and hold onto a pocket very well. The locking mechanism is smooth and easy to operate. The only issue I have is that once it was hesitant to retract, making me think the spring should be stronger, but that could be because it is new and hasn’t worn in yet. Once I fed a bit of the tape in, it started retracting. Overall a great tape that I would recommend to anyone.

i have used stanely tapes for over 30 yrs. the new fatmax is as tough as they come. the rule is strong and will reach i know to 14′. but i am partial to the fatmax style already on the market. the new body style is harder to get out off my tool pouch and the new belt clip, while it holds well, is tricky to remove from pocket rim.

I got this thing a month ago. Now, some tape measures fit in your pocket, and fall apart when dropped. This one won’t do either. It’s an incredible piece of durable ingenuity that can be dropped from high up (verified), and keep on ticking. Some people don’t like how much it weighs. Personally, I like that aspect because it prevents the tape from auto rolling. I especially like the wide and flexible tape. It’s very useful for the older people on my crew for reading.

Best tape on the market bar none!- tough abs case one came to expect- survived tall falls from ladder top- tape is wider than usual, making it easier to read. I can get about 15’ span which is really helpful when I tested this on an extension ladder measuring…didn’t have to move ladder as much, and the tape itself didn’t collapse over itself- molded case was VERY comfortable. Did not feel bigger than a 25’ tape, AND this one had a slight curve to the case that makes it conform to a user’s hand. Very natural and comfortable grip now. Slight curve should be adopted for all tape measures for all brands. Like gripping a baseball!

This thing is heavy duty all the way. Has a wide blade that does’t bend easily on long measures making one persons measurements easy. I really like the wide hook at the tip. It holds better giving better results. I am going to enjoy its well built housing and tape for alot of years to come.

I have always wanted a 35 ft tape but was afraid that it would be too big and many people have had trouble getting them to roll back up. This tape measure is perfect. It fits in the hand nicely and it has no problem rolling back up even when it is pulled all the way out. The extra blade coating is nice too. I don’t think it will rust any time in the near future.
