I bought mine several years ago. It has held up well and works amazing for longer measurements where other tapes will fold

I love the fact that the tape is 35 feet . Working around a farm and trucks a 35 footer is a huge plus . The down fall is that it doesn’t have the fractions break down the cheap tapes have .

My uses involve at least 5 trades and I’ve never had a better tape measure for all sorts of uses. My Stanley 35 ft FATMAX tape measure has a smooth pull back after release , fantastic black ridged for best grip and the colors help me locate it when I leave it in a toolbox. It’s not awkward or heavy like all others I’ve tried in the past. The belt clip helps me keep it close when I’m moving from position to position or across property. Its a huge plus to have an American made product with a USA flag right in the face of it, which make me want to show it off. The lock is a sort of dual feature as you can soft or hard lock it in place depending of course on how far out you have it. I use the soft lock to do quick repetitive measures and the hard lock for the long more time consuming measures. This is a high quality tape measure .

I have many tape measures but I find myself walking past them & looking for this one now. It’s a little on the big/heavy side (about the size of a baseball) but I think that’s part of the appeal. All the black (except) the front plate surrounding the logo/ text) is hard rubber so it grips super well & I believe that it “probably” could survive a 50′ drop. The locking mechanism is very smooth & strong. Con: It’s advertised to have a 13 ft. standout but after about 20 tries (being super careful indoors) I could only get it to 12 ft (& that’s with some extra finger support near the feed outlet). Realistically it stands out up to 9 ft no problem (even with it bouncing) but once you get in the 10-11 ft range you’re odds decrease dramatically. For me personally I find this to be a flaw with the advertising & possibly the lab tests (not mimicking real world use). With that viewpoint I still give this product five stars knowing that it’s a superior tape measure that stands out reliably up to 10 ft.

This tape measure is great especially for a person working alone and needing to take long measurements. It’s like having a helping hand

I was skeptical, at first, about the claim that it could go out 13ft before it fell but it was correct. I also tried dropping it from my roof to see just how durable it was, and came through with no problem. I am in the construction industry and need a good tape measure almost daily. Over all I love this tape measure.

I do a lot of field verification and field measuring and always bring my fatmax. I have dropped it, dragged it thru water and anything else you can think of – still works like the day I bought it.

Got this from Stanley and immediately used it as I was putting up shelves on my garage wall. I have another shorter Stanley Tape Measure but needed this longer one and as it was a new model, I was anxious to try it. Blade was much wider which is great-take back button and lock were much better——great improvements for great tools

I’ve had this tape , no lie 13 years before it finally bit the dust and that took ooo, literally hundreds of times being dropped, thrown, kicked , ran over with forklifts and daily punishment of the fabrication trade. In short when I can afford another I’ll be buying 2

I have been using this tape for a couple of weeks, and am overall quite happy. At first, the “baseball” grip made me skeptical of how comfortable it would actually be, but really it’s not terrible. The only issue I have had is with the lock, perhaps it’s just a fluke or the result of something happening on my tool belt, but sometimes it almost ends up locked without me touching it. So far, it’s been extremely durable and I have dropped this numerous times from 20+ feet.

I got this tape about a month ago, and was skeptical about it at first. I usually use a 25′ tape and have stayed clear of the larger tapes due to size. But this 35′ is a game changer for me. It’s about the size of a 25′ and the baseball shape makes it feel very comfortable to use also. This has become my go to framing tape now.

Rounded side design makes it ergonomic to hold but it doesn’t fit in a tool belt as nicely as a flat sided tape. It’s less bulky than most 35’ tapes but it’s not small. It will stand out 13’ as advertised.

I love this tape. It works well even after I’ve dropped it a bunch of times. It fits my hand well and makes it easy for me to measure.

I received this tape and am more than impressed. It’s built for the long run. Used it first thing at work and all of my coworkers were envious. But why not? Stanley tapes are the standard for everyone I know.

If you need a tough, dependable measuring tool this is the one to get. Everything about it says professional quality, intended for hard use. There’s no sense putting up with the aggravation and delays of cheap stuff. This guy will take care of business so you can focus on other things.

I do a lot of estimating, that require somewhat accurate measurements. I can literarily stand in the middle of most rooms and measure in four directions. The tape stays ridgid for well over ten feet. Very easy to read as well.

This is a great tape measure. It is heavy duty pro quality use. Might be a bit too heavy for some users, but I like the weight of it. I was also impressed with the packaging. Nice way to showcase the product. The numbers and marking on the tape measure are true and well defined. A quality product.

I bought my tape measure about 6 weeks ago to measure for curtains. It was then I noticed how easy it was to reach from one point to another. It’s high quality material made my task mistake proof. I love my Stanley and take it Everywhere I go.
