It’s a nice compact size for clipping on your pants and the blade is very secure when open. I have not had the blade retract by accident under pressure. The thickness gets in the way for fitting the blade in a tight place as a scoring tool but other that that this knife works well.

This knife feels very comfortable in your hand. The design is great. It is easy and quick to change blade. The design is just right for cutting, the way it fits in hand there is not much movement of the wrist for cutting. Very sturdy in case it’s dropped. Overall great product.

Stanley did it again, not only is this knife a quality product but very comfortable to work with. This has become my number 1 utility knife and can tell it will last very long time.

I’ve been using this awesome utility knife daily for a couple weeks now and I can say that it will be clipped in my pocket from here on out on the job site. Fits perfectly in the hand with a great rubber grip that will not slip out. The pocket clip is low profile and doesn’t snag on things as your working. The blade glides in and out so smoothly…Super easy blade changing. Solid quality build!!!

I got this utility knife about three weeks ago and in the time I’ve had it it has been my go to knife. The handle is very comfortable and controllable. In addition it’s very easy to change the blades. No more fumbling with a center screw.

This has become my main knife, mostly because of the belt clip, I no longer have to dig in a pocket to find it, bright colored too so it is easy to find. easy to lock the blade as well no screwdriver needed anymore

The unique shape of the handle only took a minute to get used to. I like the position of the rubber grips. It’s very comfortable to use and the smaller size enhances maneuverability in close quarters. The pocket clip is an interesting addition. Not too useful if you use a pouch but not in the way either. I fond it handy to hang on a pocket. My only criticism as a right-hander is the lack of onboard spare blade storage. ProsSmall, maneuverable, easy to grip. ConsLeft side operating slide means tool is optimized for right handed users, no onboard spare blade storage.

I starting using this knife a few days ago. I love it. I am not one who ever thought that ergonomics was important in something as simple as a knife. I was wrong this knife fits your hand like your favorite glove. The blade changing is simple and fast. I recommend this knife toany one that need a great knife. I am going to buy more for friends and family, Great knife!

The knife is a little bulkier than normal utility knives, but the size lends itself to more control when using it. The belt clip is a very handy attachment. Being able to change the blade quickly is a big plus as well.

I do a lot of projects and this knife is my go to. I usually carry it around with me when I am working around the house because it is versatile. I appreciate that the the blade retracts fully and has a sturdy strength to the design. The signature Stanley Yellow means it won’t get easily misplaced.

Youre a tradesman. You have seen and used hundreds of types and brands of utility knifes in your life but somehow no one has ever been able to put together the best attributes of every variety to come up with the Control Grip knife. This knife fits perfectly in your hand and with the recessed blade slider you feel like you are in control of the blade in every way. This is not just an ordinary knife.

Not a bad knife if you don’t plan to use it much and are willing to give up blade storage in exchange for a belt clip. I prefer the bigger model myself because it has a more secure grip.

Very durable utility knife, but after spending 30+ years in plastics using the Classic 99 or the 499 the slim design and the actuator button on the side is a little awkward.

I am a 77 year old who dose not ware glasses and just had a eye exam. I could not read the instruction on how to load the blade. T..he side slide to expose the blade took some getting used to. But the small size is nice in use. I do miss the ability to have extra blades in the knife.

This utility knife out performs any basic box cutter from the past. The wide base provides a good amount of cutting stability

The size and comfort of this knife is great. What I really like is not having to unscrew the body of the knife to change blades. This leads me to my only negative. Initially, the button to push and slide to insert the blade did not want to move properly. Perhaps the mechanism out of place a bit. After pressing the button a few times it seemed to start sliding a little better. Because of this minor issue, it made me wonder as to the longevity of the button. Only time will tell. Other than that, I am impressed with this knife.
