The Stanley Pro Coping Saw is designed to provide clean, controlled cuts in any direction needed. Allowing for a 6-1/2 in. cutting depth the saw also features 360° blade rotation to handle any cut direction with ease. The 15 TPI hardened carbon steel blade provides clean, controlled cutting action with a comfortable cushion grip handle.

Fit and finish is very good, the handle is comfortable. The saw is well balanced and easy to use. Indexing the blade is pretty straight forward, just loosen the handle a bit and turn the blade levers to the position you need. The indexing on the bow side has some ridges which are very useful, unfortunately the handle side does not so you have to hold the adjuster in place while you tighten the blade, that would be the only improvement I would make to this saw. Over all it is well made and works well.

This is as close to a high dollar fret saw as you can get! The blade cuts fantastic! I used it to cut the waste off of dovetails for drawers and I like this one forsure. Great features! My new go to coping saw now! Dont miss this one.

I have older coping saws but the rubber handle is great. I compared the depth of cut to the older Stanley saws and its about an inch deeper throat. Very happy when coping crown.

I have s similar saw from the late 1980s that I use monthly. This Pro Coping Saw frame is much thicker and sturdier than my old saw. The only thing I dont like is the blade seems more flexible than I expected. I got jammed a couple times on my follow through stroke. Maybe I was trying to cut the hardwood too fast. I’ll test it out on some poplar and pine next to see what happens.

If you’re looking for a coping saw for right curves, this is the one. BUT, if you’re doing a lot of cuts as a professional, you may want to look at a different handle.Construction of actual tool is great. I like the finish and it looks very durable. I personally like the handle because it seems like it’s not likely to absorb stains and oils.But I know from experience any tool you’re using for a long period of time needs an excellent ergonomic handle, and I just don’t think this saw meets the mark in that regard. Otherwise, solid tool with easy to change blade.
