I have not found a better tape measure that actually helps and not hinders my projects. The Stanley 12’ Leverlock just works. The tape is fairly flat, no curling up trying to read and mark from a crazy flipping tape. The best thing about this tape measure is you pull it out and don’t have to push an awkward button to get it to stay.. It will stay out until you push on the bottom the tape measure, and returns very fast.

I have had this for so long I can’t remember when I bought it. All these many years the 12′ The Leverlock has worked flawlessly and was a quick grab and go for quick jobs/projects around the house. Fits my pockets or belt clip, is easy to open, locks without any additional steps and with an easy squeeze the blade retracts. Has always made me want to buy Stanley products because of its’ reliability. Simple and excellent product!

I like this tool. There is only one issue that I find with it. The hooking tab at the end of the tape is too short. It’s shortness requires pulling the tape out a little bit before measuring. To me, that’s an extra step that takes extra time. My old one doesn’t have this issue.
