Well built and solid. I don’t care for the fact that the spring lock lever has to be squeezed to pull tape out. I guess I didn’t read the package close enough. No big deal. The good part is the tape locks automatically when the lock lever is released.

On one level, it’s a measuring tape: pull it out and take a messurement. However, this is one of the nicer ones I’ve ever owned. Solidly built, extends easily, retracts swiftly. More than adequate for household uses.
