The Stanley 25 ft. LeverLock Tape Measure features a magnetic tip, fractional markings and an automatic bottom lock for steady operation. The blade automatically locks at the length to which it is extended, allowing the user to control retraction and thereby reducing the risk of injury and prolonging blade life. A magnetic end hook makes easy work of measuring metals like pipe, beams and ductwork, while the fractional markings ensure accurate readings every time. The unique Write-On Label allows users to jot notes and numbers on the side of the tool with a carpenter’s pencil.

I have used this tape measure around the house to measure cabinets for refacing and to measure the height and length for installation of outdoor wall lanterns. I found it to be accurate, lightweight, easy to read, and handy to use. It is very handy to use on multiple jobs and is now my trust companion. I am impressed with the lever lock since I can pull the tape out and it locks automatically thereby preventing it to recoil. I love this feature for it is like having a “third hand.” The tape measure uses the US Standard Scale and is divided down to 1/16th of an inch. If you seek a tape measure that requires a metric scale, this is not the one for you. The end of the tape measure is magnetized which I found to be both a benefit and a curse depending on what needs to be measured. I was a bit frustrated around some metal items where the end of the tape kept getting stuck but I that would not stop me from purchasing this tape measure.

This is honestly the best tape measure I have ever used. Stanley is known for their top notch tape measures but this one is easily above the rest.

Solid tape measure, well constructed and gives precise measurements, pretty much all you could ask for in a tape measure. Leaverlock takes a bit of getting used to but it ends up giving more control and is an upgrade over the normal locking system you find in others. Its take a few drips already and is holding up well!

Good tape but a little flimsy if reaching out past 8 feet

Tape is a bit bulky, I do like very much the hi-lighted fractions on the tape. even a novice should be able to get the correct measurement with ease

Finally, a tape measure that my wife can read. The fractional read LEVERLOCK is a big help when my wife is helping with projects around the house. She can actually get the correct measurement on the board without asking how many little marks. I think I will have to get another one for me. I saw her put this in her tool collection.

Listen. I’m very good with math, and I can read the measurements on the tape fairly quick. But wow, the difference it makes by being able to simply read the measurements dramatically increases my work efficiency! It’s also amazing to have the magnetic feature because a lot of times there will be trims, screws, or something metallic that it will attach to. It has allowed me to measure long walls without needing a second hand. This is incredible!

I thought this was just another Tape Measure, boy was I wrong. It turns out that this made my life a whole lot easier. It comes out and stays out making it super simple for one person to use even over long runs. It is easy to reel in with one hand too. The detailed increments help to make sure you have the right measurement every time. I can’t recommend this enough, it saved me so much time while building my wife two new desks.

STANLEY REVIEWLEVERLOCK FRACTIONAL U25’TAKE IT FOR GRANTED. A term we often hear, mainly because whatever it is, we assume that it will always be there and perform as we expect. This quote, “take it for granted” applies to the U25’ LEVERLOCK. I have had time to use this tape measure in my workshop and measuring lumber at local box store. The fractional measurements and all markings are easy to read..especially important for the “senior” carpenter as our vision is not as sharp as it used to be. The locking mechanism is robust and the retraction of the blade is consistent. The magnetic tip is a great option which I have found most useful for reaching behind or under work bench to retrieve all manner of lost items. The case is right sized for my(average)hand and easy to grip..again an appreciated design for senior user that may have joint issues, as well the average handyperson. My only suggestion would be to increase the width of the belt clip to fit more easily over the belt or pocket. I will now take this tape measure for “granted” for all the right reasons.

I work mostly with wood, both in the shop and out in the field. Rarely do I need to measure anything beyond 25 ft. So this tape is the perfect size for an all day carry, either in my tool belt or easily on my pants belt. I have never had a problem with figuring out the fractional increments of an inch but I do think it’s nice that Stanley put them on this tape. Also, the magnetic end is handier than I initially thought it would be. If I worked with metal more regularly, I’d probably get more use out of it, but sure does come in handy when I’m on top of a 10-12 foot wall and I drop something metallic on the ground. It’s a pretty strong magnet on the end of the tape. Overall, a great tape. Only one negative is that it doesn’t have as far as a “standout” ad the Stanley 25’ fat max (about 10’) this tape has a standout of about 6.5’. No big deal, sometimes it just nice shoot your tape out 10’ to the end of a board or wall.

So as a electrician I use a tape measure daily and teaching new apprentices I sometimes have to teach them to read a tape correctly this helps me and them so they can learn and keep moving forward

This tape is lightweight, but durable. The lever release is a great feature, allowing you to quickly release the tape and stop at desired length. Fits your hand comfortably. The magnetic tip holds the tape for you. The magnet can hold the tape up, with out having to hold the tape. This allows you to mark multiple distances quickly. Another great product available from Stanley.

Best tape measure ever, only extends while holding the bottom button which is super helpful when measuring distances alone. Also seems to have a slower recoil which is great since my 3 year old loves to help with projects. The fractions on the tape make for quick and accurate measurements. No need for any other tape measure in the toolbox any more!
