So this was purchased on sale while Christmas shopping a few months back. I finally got around to taking it out of the package and realized the case was not made made out of chromed steel like my older Stanley. This one happens to be ABS plastic. Plastic tapes are not a problem for me, but usually those have a rubber molding to provide protection for the plastic case. However, it still has the familiar Stanley markings but I’m doubting this will hold up like my older Stanley. Time will tell though and I’ll be sure to update this review if anything changes either way. Shame on me for not checking more closely!
