This worked as advertised as long as used without the removable base. The design of the base is not well designed to be used flat on walls. The pin part of the base makes a pretty big hole and is wobbly. When folded up, it still is wobbly. When used without the base, it performs very well. It did what I wanted it for, which was to make level lines spanning longer than arms width.

About this level laser A month ago for a porcelain tile shower job I was doing on my home and it worked PERFECT!! I then used It to hang some recessed can lights through our home and A few other little jobs my wife and I did.. Works great the only problem I saw with this is i call it the (pin) It’s used to push the bottom part of the laser into the dry wall or whatever you’re gonna be sticking it to and if you’re not careful that Pin can break off and mine did but i replace it with a Screw ..

I had to hang several items horizontally, vertically, this tool worked great. I saw other products much pricier, but this did exactly what I needed.

This is a great tool to use and a favorite. After many years of having one, I reordered the same one after it broke. It’s easy to use and helps me put up frames, curtains, and all kinds of things around the house.

This is a laser level that is clearly visible for maybe thirty feet selling for under $20. Are you going to use this to precision cut a several thousand dollar granite slab, no. This is the Handyman’s aid to perfectly align the picture frames along a staircase. If you purchase this tool with that mindset you simply cannot go wrong. The unit is a 2.2 milliwatt red light laser. It can be used in a number of configurations. It has X and Y axis bubble levels integrated onto the housing that seem accurate on my unit. It has a detachable soft finish (Dry Wall, Cork, Etc) spike with an angle guide that mounts to the laser with a magnet. Again my unit is pretty accurate. If you are marking a line on a vertical wall I would tape the unit once you set your angle. It holds well on its own but if bumped it will not resist movement. So again this is not a several hundred dollar line generator for flawless high end contracting. But this is a fantastic Handyman/ DIY grade tool for making projects easier. I would recommend it without hesitation

I ended up buying this tool because i was installing shiplap and needed a laser guide for my studs from floor to ceiling. Unfortunately, after a few uses, the pin in the back broke so I could no longer place it on the wall. What a shame as the power switch is on the bottom preventing it from being floor standing so I had to ‘old school’ it with stud finders From floor to ceiling. I would totally recommend this product if it came with a couple of extra pins as back up. Ultimately a great tool but a upsetting.

This is a very simple laser level if you’re not looking to spend too much money on one. Its very easy to use: just stick it into the wall with the swivel nail on the back and turn it on! It allows for full 360-degree rotation and has a horizontal and vertical bubbles to make sure everything is true. It says that the laser has a 10ft distance, but I’d say that the line is easily visible for at least 20ft, if not more. The actual laser level detaches from the angle adjustment on the back via a simple, but strong magnet. It has a safety feature built-in such that when the laser is separated from degree adjustment, the nail swivels inwards that way you don’t accidentally poke yourself! Batteries were included.I did not include pictures of the device on because I couldn’t get the picture to look right. Rest assure, the laser is very bright and easily visible no matter the lighting conditions.
