These pliers are good for tight places, but still offer plenty of grip. The jaws are notched to attack hex nuts and are accurately aligned when closed. The handles have been dipped in textured resin for comfort and grip. The jaws will hold a 1 inch think object. The overall length is 8.5 inches. There are five slip joints for thickness adjustment in quarter inch increments.

Pliers were very inexpensive yet quite good. I have been working with hand tools for over 60 years. Their only flaw, very minor, was that the nut holding the two parts together was a little to tight. A little adjustment with another set of pliers and they are perfect.

Stanley Tools are definitely built to last. Just looking at these Groove Joint Pliers you can see the difference between them and other brands. These Groove Joint Pliers are made from “dropped forged steel” with a satin, non shiny finish. The handles are “double dipped” grips that are non slip and comfortable. The black handles will not show dirt and are easy to keep clean. With this one tool, you can firmly hold on to a lot of different sizes. The pliers adjust easily and hold fast. They feel substantial in weight and very sturdy.
