The Stanley 145-Piece Mechanics Tool Set contains 3/8 in. drive and 1/4 in. drive pear-head ratchets accompanied by 70 SAE and metric sockets along with 30 specialty fastener bits, 12 combination wrenches and 16 hex keys among other tools frequently used to build, maintain and repair mechanical equipment. Each ratchet has a quick-release mechanism for expedient socket detachment and a reversing lever allows ratcheting power to be flipped easily into counterclockwise mode. These heavy-duty tools are constructed with chrome vanadium steel to power through rigorous applications where leverage and high torque are critical.

The 145pc Stanley tool set is good for the money, I like the variarity of tools for a DIYer, my only complaint is the wrenches,they look and feel like there were cheaply made. There’s a big difference between the quality of the ratchets and sockets and the wrenches.

Just remember, its not Mac Tools or Snap On, its not even a Craftsman.Pros: – This is a nice starter set for around the house small jobs for the price- Good for in a pinch on the road emergencies- Narrow case allows to store behind bench seat of truck – Good for gifting a newly interested DIYerCons: – Stanley ratchets are not of the best quality.- 1/4 drive ratchet locked up after only several uses. – Open end wrenches will bend with any more that moderate force- Cheaply made driver for bit tips, terrible handle for ergo and the attachment that holds the bits is too loose and the bits continually fall out.
