I bought this relatively recently, however, working in a shop all day puts some abuse on your tools, and I’m happy to say I’ve only had one tool break, and none of my tools have shown signs of wear yet. The tool that failed was a hex key, on a ridiculously rusted bolt, so I don’t blame Stanley at all. Overall great set to start out.

Almost 2 years ago, I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He is a mechanic, and we have our own “business” where we travel to you when you break down instead of you having to get the vehicle towed. We use these tools literally every day, multiple times a day, on tough jobs.I will say, the ratchet wrenches have broken on me twice now, but the entire case has a lifetime warranty. All I had to do was message them and tell them what happened and they mailed new replacements to me!

Apon opening up the tool set all the sockets we’re greasy as if they’ve been used before, and the hex keys don’t stay in place. After using once the black chrome has already started to rubb off. I’d suggest saving a couple of bucks and just get the regular chrome finish as it’s clear this tool set will not hold its finish for long. However overall this tool set gets the job done and at the price point I’m satisfied with my purchase, my only negative reviews are supperficial and don’t take away from the functionality of this tool set.

Excellent tool setI especially like the tool compartment, you see I bought a pass thru ratchet set that comes in handy for bolts and studs that are too deep for even deep sockets and I either leave without my pass thru ratchet set or lose the parts somewhere. But the tool compartment is the perfect size for the one addition that make this tool set perfect.Now I can carry small tools, medium tool, standard tools, metric tools, Large tools, and pass thru tools in one case. Imagine carring one Tool case that has everything you need within it. Brilliant

A couple of the sockets have obviously been used and had grease on them. I assumed someone bought it, used a couple sockets and then returned it. Since nothing was missing or appeared to be damaged I choose to not make an issue out of it. It appears to be a great tool set.
