I like the packaging of these bits, a cylindrical case rather than a flat box. Graduated in 64ths of an inch from 1/16 to 1/2. Packaging photo seems to imply that bits shanks are turned down to 3/8. Not so. All shank diameters are equal to bit size (e.g. 1/2 inch bit needs a 1/2 inch chuck) with exception that all shanks are ground flat on 3 sides for firmer chuck grip. Tested drilling a few 1/4 in. holes in a 3/16 thick galvanized angle bracket using a drill press. Bits are straight and spin true, unlike an embarrassing set of four wobbly “titanium speed load” bits I bought a few years back. I dimpled the metal with a punch, lubricated with a little machine oil and drilled away smooth and steady. No visible wear on the bit point after 4 holes. Made in China.

This is a solid, nice set of drill bits. I like how its organized in the case. I got this to replace an old set that was in a large rectangular case that seemed more bulky than it needed to be. It has a great top to comes off with a slight turn. You can easily pull out whatever bit you need and off you go. I also like that you can turn it upside down and nothing comes loose inside the case, unlike my previous set. Great set all around.

Every handyman slash do it yourself needs a set of drill bits. The Stark elite drill bit set comes with a twenty-nine piece drill bit set from 5/32 to 1/2 inch. The bits are self centering and have tri-flat shank to enable a greater grip in the drill you use. I tested the bit in 1/8 thick metal and it went thru easily without much effort. I recommend this drill bit set highly.

This drill bit set is “the bomb.” It incorporates 29 drill bits from 1/16″ to and including 1/2″. I have used them only for wood thus far, but they bore through two-by material with ease and seem to retain their sharpness. The case is particularly convenient for counter-top or work-bench top access and it can be easily incorporated into other storage plans. These are first-class bits, and I highly recommend them.
