The 3.5″ to 5.25″ Front Bay Bracket Adapter from StarTech is a plastic, drive adapter bracket that lets you install a 3.5″ drive in a 5.25″ bay. It lets you position a 3.5″ drive in a computer case as needed (without being confined to the 3.5″ bay determined by the case layout). The drive adapter bracket features an open-faced black bezel that provides a snug, secured fit for installed drives.

this product is not recommended to use for hard drives as would leave the hd and computer with an open hole.

Did not properly fit the case and the SD Card Reader that references this bracket was a very sloppy fit to the point it was very loose fit. Like throwing a hot dog down the hallway. Basura.

Product works fine. The front plate has two tabs that hold it into the body of the reader, and one tab broke when I was removing the front panel of my case, making an adjustment during assembly. It should have held up a bit better.

The bracket adapter has correct dimensions and tight tolerances. Very good fit and finish. Works as it should. B&H sales, packaging, and shipping were excellent.
