Connect your USB Type-C computer system to a compatible monitor or projector using the USB Type-C to DVI-I Adapter with Power Delivery from StarTech. Connect this black adapter to your computer using the built-in 3.9″ USB Type-C male plug. Then, attach a monitor through a separate cable that connects to the adapter’s DVI-I female port. The adapter delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution picture at 60 Hz without audio, allowing you a larger space for multitasking applications and viewing videos, photos, and documents. There is also a USB Type-C female charging port that supports up to 60W power delivery to keep your compatible laptop charged while using the adapter.

I have been in the AV/IT Integration space for over 30 years. I found this unit easy to setup and use on my Microsoft and Apple devices. This video adapter features USB Power Delivery, which is an excellent feature, allowing you to power and charge your laptop while you’re outputting video to a DVI display. USB Type-C is new universal connectivity standard which combines all of your essential functions into one dynamic port. This adapter worked wonderfully with my USB-C devices, passing DisplayPort video signals my MacBook and Windows devices. This unit is also compatible with Thunderbolt 3 ports, which is great news for the Apple users. Fails to provide stable power transmission from the laptop to the Display. Laptop is a MacBookPro 13 M1 model and Display is a LaCie model 321. Changed to a Kingston Nucleum with a U-Green DVI to HDMI connector cable and the display now works perfectly.
