The black DisplayPort to DVI Video Adapter Converter from StarTech allows you to connect a DVI-D display to DisplayPort video sources, such as DisplayPort video cards and more. With this converter you avoid the expense of having to upgrade to a DisplayPort capable display. The adapter supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, allowing you to take full advantage of single-link DVI capability. It is a passive adapter that requires a DP++ (DisplayPort++) port, which means that DVI and HDMI signals can be passed through the port.

I have a gtx 980, It comes with 1 DVI port, 1 HDMI port and 3 Displayports. To get surround working on 3 monitors i needed to get an adapter from Displayport to DVI. This was the adapter I bought. It works flawlessly and I couldnt be happier with it. B&H was very fast on shipping my adapter out, I had it only 2 days after i submitted the order!
