I just got this in the mail today. I cannot get it to work without my screen flickering. I tried rebooting my machine and still had the same issue, with and without the extra USB power plugged in. It definitely feels nicer than most products like this, the build quality seems top notch. Hopefully I can get it working.

This is exactly what you need if your monitor only has a VGA input and your video output is digital, DVI-D.

Working really well

The first VGA monitor I tried displayed “out of range” and would not work at all. The second VGA monitor I tried (different model than first one) gave “out of range” while PC booted up but then gave an excellent picture once Windows login screen appeared. The third VGA monitor I tried (different model than the other two) would not diplay the BIOS boot information like the other three, but gave me the Windows splash screen while loading and finally the login screen. Unfortunately, there was a thick, black, bar across the screen about an inch from the top that split the screen such that the task bar was up top above the black bar but not accessable with the mouse. Changing screen options did nothing. So, it only worked with one out of three displayes so far and with that display it’s just fine. Be prepared to return it if necessary.

The maximum resolution the product is suppose to support doesn’t work. The highest I can get is 1920 x 1080 and that doesn’t work for my monitor. I have the power source plugged in and tried various cables and sources. I am not sure what to troubleshoot next with this product. Are there defective units that doesn’t support the maximum resolution?
