The 6′, black Mini DisplayPort Male to DisplayPort Male Cable from StarTech connects a Mini DisplayPort-equipped laptop (including Mac family products) to an HDTV, monitor, or projector that uses a standard DisplayPort connection.
The Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable supports high resolutions up to 4K x 2K (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz, with a maximum High Bit Rate 2 (HBR2) bandwidth of 21.6 Gb/s. The cable supports Multi-Stream (MST) for daisy-chaining multiple monitors, and provides optional audio support.

This cable definitely makes a difference in the speed of the connection. Good that the cable lengths meet up with the monitor’s.

It took longer than usual to get it but is understandable USPS is confronting problems. The cable works perfect. It was connected to a Dell monitor also purchased with the cable. The monitor comes with an HDMI that you can use to connect to a desktop or laptop.

The cable worked as expected, good clear signal with no issues using professional equipment and video wall processors. This cable solved an issue while using a USB-C to DP adapter not working with certain display hardware.

Great solution for connecting my macbook to an external monitor!

B&H technical consultant was a big help. She determined that a new HP monitor could be connected to an older Mac Pro using DP, not hdmi, which I was thinking of using. 10 attagirls. Thank you.

Works as advertised.

Not much to say other than it does what it’s supposed to and was reasonably priced. Win-win!

Quite a straight forward product and works as intended. Combined with the HP M27FQ monitor and it allows me to put my macbook pro (in clamshell mode) in standby when I switch the monitor off. I’m not sure if I really want it to work like that and will probably look for a work around as an option. Decided to mention it just in case anyone else wants to know.
