The black 7-Port Industrial USB 3.0 ESD and Surge Protection Hub from StarTech is designed to provide reliable performance in extreme operating environments. This industrial grade hub features a rugged, metal-housing chassis which can be securely mounted to most surfaces and walls. The hub includes optional DIN rail mounts that can be used for equipment rack installations. It allows you to expand your connectivity options by adding seven external USB 3.0 ports to your computer. It also increases your everyday productivity by gaining powerful and convenient access to your external hard drives, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals. It protects your connected devices with 15kV ESD protection and 350W surge protections.
Please note, this product is intended for use with terminal block power only. A standard AC adapter is not available. If connected to a USB 2.0 host port, performance may be limited.

To anyone looking to pick up this unit – don’t read the two 1 star reviews. This is an industrial unit and is powered as such. I use a 24V power supply and works great. This unit will also function as a usb hub (without the extra oomph) if it is plugged into a PC USB port. We have used this unit with both of the above scenarios and it works great. Basically, read the instructions.
