Made from durable steel with comfortable and ergonomically angled PVC dipped and textured handles it cuts and strips equally well on both solid and stranded copper electrical wires. This pocket sized, 7 in. wire stripper can remove insulation from 20 AWG to 10 AWG 0.8 mm to 2.6 mm. electrical wires and the spring assisted opening helps you effortlessly move from 1 wire to the next. The screw shearer is capable of leaving clean, burr-free cuts on screws sized 4-40 and 8-32 (M3 and M4) and the plier style nose gives you the grip you need to pull, twist, bend, pinch, and hold wires and the looping hole allows you to quickly bend hooks into wires for attaching to terminals. When not in use a convenient lock keeps the pliers closed and compact so they don’t get tangled in your tool belt. Works well with my large hands. Ergonomic design adds to comfort while using and makes lining up proper wire size to strip simpler. Steelman products are a higher quality and these wire strippers perform. They come with the standard lock, pinch and cut option. Overall a good quality wire stripper that is comfy to use and should give years of service if cared for.

I was glad when i saw the wire cutters at my local Home Depot, that were designed with ergonomic handles, it is 7′ long, so easy to use, has sharp butting edges, without having to apply pressure again , and again to have them cut through really think wire. You will find your hand isn’t stressed or sore after use, a big plus for me.This has been an great purchase, nice to have this addition to my hand tools.

These are good quality wire strippers/cutter. I do quite a bit of wiring on my shop, house, old tractors and other projects. These fit the most common sizes I use, they cut and strip easily. The ergonomic spring loaded handle makes gripping/using easy. These are much better than what I was using. The handle is the biggest improvement for me. Will buy another for my tool bag.

This wire stripper has some features that my other strippers do not. It is very ergonomically comfortable and the actual cutting portion of the tool is easily accessible at the bottom of the stripper rather than needing to put the wire between handles. The spring loaded handles are nice when you are cutting multiple wires and would be a benefit to anyone who does a lot of wire stripping.
