Universal wire stripper. This is a very well made tool. The edges are sharp where you need them to be. I tested every size wire for ease of stripping and cutting . Handled them all very well. The last job I used them for was a ceiling fan install where every wire had to be shortened and stripped. Made short work of the process. Recommend this to the value shopper as it will out last the cheaper ones which seem to rust out quickly

Haven’t got to put too much use on them yet but they seem of hood quality for the price.

I am really amazed at how well made this Universal Wire Stripper, Cutter and Crimper is. It is manufactured by Steelman and is so much better than the previous one that I have had for years. It works on both solid and stranded copper electrical wires that . It is designed for almost any size wire you would normally need to strip, cut or crimp in either your car or house. It has a built-in screw shearer that will remove the sharp edges on most screws. The needle nose pliers style ends lets you quickly and easily bend hooks into wires for attaching to terminals. This is a quality tool that is just the right size at 8 inches to do the electrical work you need to get done. The handles are PVC coated which makes them easy to grip. These wire cutters are made from durable hardened steel with a corrosion-resistant black oxide finish and should last for years.

I got this tool to replace one that didn’t last as I expected, so I hope this one fares better than the last. I like all its features – wire and bolt cutting and crimping. This fits nicely in my hands which are small, so its not awkward to use. So far I’ve only used it to trim a wire while replacing a light fixture, but I will need to use it several times to cut screws when I install knobs on my cupboards during my kitchen remodel.

This wire stripper/cutter is no joke. Built really heavy duty, and allows you to cut/strip Just about any wire gauge you want it to.As soon as you pick these up, you can tell that they are made well. The crimper is made of a heavy gauge steel, and should last a life time. The handles are also rubber coated and feel great in the hands. I like the curvature they put on these for a more ergonomic grip. These are extremely sharp and easy to use. The only thing I wish they would have added was a spring loaded grip. Every time you cut or crimp, you have to open them back up manually. Get to be a bit of a pain with heavy use. If they would have added this feature, they would have received a 5 star review.

I have had many cheap quality wire strippers over the years, and if you have too then you know how frustrating it can get when you don’t strip the insulation every time and actually cut some of the wire strands in the process. These strippers work smoothly and strip the insulation off every time. You should have some bad experiences with cheap wire strippers to appreciate the difference.I would rate these strippers as good and can therefor recommend them.
