This innovative hex wrench set includes a special handle that allows you to turn any of the included hex keys into a T-handle wrench giving you a better grip and more torque. The Steelman 41932 set includes 22 of the most common metric and standard sizes to remove and install socket/allen headed fasteners on all of your home, automotive, and hobby projects. These wrenches are made with high strength, heat-treated chrome vanadium steel which is then coated with a protective black oxide finish. Each wrench has a specially machined, ball-shaped end to make it easier to insert the tool into hex cap screws, bolts, and fasteners in confined areas and their extended length driver shafts make it easy to reach into hard-to-access areas. The storage cases are color-coded, making it easy to identify which set you need.

It is a good set of hex keys. The ball didn’t grip like I had hoped when using at an angle but they are still very useful.

Includes SAE and Metric as follows:Metric mm – 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.5, 2 (the small ones < 3mm are not marked)SAE inch - 3/8, 5/16, 1/4, 7/32, 3/16, 5/32, 9/64, 1/8, 17/64, 3/32, 5/64, 1/16, .05 (the small ones < 1/8" are not marked)The lettering on the holders (Metric is black, SAE is red) easily rubs off.The set (SAE/Metric) are clipped to a plastic 'torque handle' adapter that the individual wrenches can be inserted into provide a better grip if needed. The long ends are 'turned down' to allow more of a ball for fasteners that are not perpendicular. This provides for a good off axis / limited fit use.I used them on a shower valve, to replace the cartridge. Why a manufacture would use/specify two different sizes (SAE & Metric), "2.5mm and a 3.18mm hex" (that is 1/8"!!) on one product, I can't explain. But I had both SAE/Metric sizes and a perfect fit for each of them.

Nice Hex-Key set with easy to find and remove keys. The two holders are clearly labeled and clamp firmly to the handle body and remove quickly to use the handle driver. Each end of the handle has size-marked holes cut into it that you can insert either the short or long end of the keys into for added comfort while using, one side is for SAE and the other is for metric. There is also a slot cut into the length of the handle that you can use over the short end of the larger keys. I don’t know how long the plastic handle will hold up with regular use but I suspect it won’t stand up to someone torqueing on it. This is a nice kit that will go in my truck tool box

The tools themselves are fantastic. They are holding up to severe abuse and the ball end is great for getting at hard to reach bolts. Even after hammering on them repeatedly to break free some brake pieces in the cold I’m not seeing any sign of wear.Where this slightly falls off is the holder and handle. The wrenches were free sliding in the plastic sleeves from the moment I got them. My other sets are still giving me stiff resistance even after years of use. It was disappointing to exerience that from the get go.It’s a similar story with the handle. It’s a brilliant design to give you more leverage/grip in holding the wrench. The wrench slides into the handle giving you a big chunky T-Handle. Unfortunately the wrenches slip so, while it works, make sure you’re wearing a good mechanics glove so you don’t get poked/pinched when it slips.

Life is too short to fight with that hard to reach hex headed fastener so I got these ball headed long handled hex wrenches to make the job of unfastening, or securing, hex headed fasteners, where I don’t have easy access, a lot easier. The ball end allows me a few degrees of flexibility so that I can reach the fastener even though I am not at exactly 90 degrees to it. Of course, the torque drops off with increased deflection but they can be a big timesaver. The universal T-handle makes using the tools more comfortable and that means I can get more purchase onto the fastener as well. The treated steel construction of hex keys means they will last years with normal use and resist corrosion. This set comes with both metric and SAE sizes which is becoming more important these days as metric infiltrates the SAE world of the United States. The stated sizes of each of the keys is accurate. The sizes are easy to see at a glance in the supplied holder and gaps are quickly identified so I can see that all the tools are where they should be after use.

This set has a good assortment of sizes and the orientation of the handle and holders makes it great for toolbox storage. The handle works great for long periods of use and gives you a more comfortable grip. The handle isn’t very helpful for tight spots. It might not be the best set for a service truck because of the plastic parts snapping in the cold, but it would be a good addition to any toolset in general.

STEELMAN 23-Piece Long Arm Ball End Hex Key Set with T-Handle, Inch/Metric (SAE/MM)The set includes 22 metric and standard size hex/allen wrench’s with a special shaped ball end and a handle that you can use as a tee handle for a better grip and more leverage. The wrenches are long enough for most of my needs and the handle means I will not have to use another tool to break loose a tight fitting.

A nice set of wrenches that are well made. I have tried both the metric and SAE sizes and they are accurate and fit well into the hex head screws that I have tried. The metal quality is good and the wrenches are long for applying a lot of torque. The ball ends allow you to remove screws that are in tight places. You can get full engagement with the wrench angled. The case is a little on the light side but adequate and the plastic tee handle adapter lets you get a better grip to remove screw more easily.

These are some really nice hex wrenches. Extremely heavy duty and will definitely hold up in a professional setting. What is really nice about this set is you will basically have every single size younwill ever need when it comes to hex wrenches. I also like that the holders connect onto the included hand held driver.I do wish that these would fold in a bit more as they take up a bit of space, and the hand wrench system is a bit light flimsy, but the wrenches themselves are plain awesome.

This is a versatile set of “Allen wrenches” or hex keys in standard SAE and metric sizes in one convenient collection. My experience with Steelman is that they make solid tools at reasonable prices, and this set is no different. The ball ends are a nice touch; I regularly use smaller hex keys to tighten locknuts on towel rods and shower faucets, and being able to come in from a bit of an angle is very convenient. The steel seems to be of good quality — even the 1/16 and smaller keys are surprisingly rigid — and the edges seem precise. In fact, my only concerns are with the holder and included T-handle. The holders clip to the handle from each side, and optimistic though I may be, they just aren’t very good quality. The handle, too, though a thoughtful touch, seems pretty sloppily finished, and I have a hard time imagining that it will stand up to more than casual use. Shame, because the actual keys are very nice. Given the price point, still highly recommended.
