The Steelman Hex Key Wrench Combo Set features 26 of the most common metric and standard sizes used to remove and install socket/allen headed fasteners on all of your home, automotive, and hobby projects. These wrenches are made with high-strength, heat-treated chrome vanadium steel which is then coated with a protective black oxide finish. Each wrench has burr-free chamfered ends to make it easier to insert the tool into hex cap screws, bolts, and fasteners and their extended length driver shafts make it easy to reach into hard-to-access spaces. Their double-ended design allows you to choose between long reach and high torque for the job at hand. The hinged storage cases are color-coded and clearly labeled, making it easy to decide which type, metric or standard, and size of wrench you need.

This sae/metric hex set is a must for any homeowner as many new items are using hex screws for tightening and securing parts and sections together. I keep this hex set handy in my kitchen and so far haven’t needed to use any of the hex screws yet but mine are handy and easy to get to and use. I am definitely pleased with this dual set as there are standard sizes as well as metric sizes which is a definite plus.

A terrific set of both metric and american sizes hex keys. These are not the ball end these are the straight end which provide a really good surface for applying more torque to get those hard to loosen hex bolts out. The shaft is long enough for good leverage too. You get a very good range of sizes, 13 wrenches each for metric and USA. They feel well made and have sharp well machined edges for a good inserted grip on the bolts. Each has their own holder that folds out to select the wrench and holds them nicely for storage. Mine are going to get a lot of use!

Great and sturdy set of hex key wrenches by Steelman! Already used for furniture assembly – long handles and withstood had tightening. Coating was not affected and stayed intact. Will last a while!Color coding is appreciated – SAE (red) and Metric (black). The set-up folds, so it does not take too much space in a tool bag/box. This set is great for typical DIYs and will definitely be enough on most of projects. For professionals – I imagine they have more “serious” tools available. RECOMMEND!

The Steelman 26-Piece Long Arm Hex Key Wrench Set, Inch/Metric (SAE/MM) is handy if only in that it is such a complete set. All the sizes you will typically need in MM and SAE are included in color-coded and well labeled folding plastic organizers. The sizes are emblazoned on the organizers and not etched or engraved into the hex wrenches. That’s okay with me since I could never read the sizes on the arm of the hex anyway and, come to think of it, I don’t ever remember searching for a hex wrench by the size. All this in mind, there is no way to tell the MM hexes from the SAE hexes once they are out of the organizers. The black oxide luster does help me separate them from my collection of hex wrenches that were included with tools and furniture that I’ve purchased and needed assembly (Why do we keep those?) The Steelman Hex Wrenches are much easier to use than those hex pocketknife style collections since you can apply more torque with the longer armed single hex and the single hex doesn’t take as much operating space. The Steelman Hex wrenches have all the features you would expect a quality set of hex wrenches to have: The black oxide protective finish, the chamfered ends, and the fact that both ends are work ends. I’m happy with my Steelman 26-Piece Long Arm Hex Key Wrench Set and have just the place for them in my toolbox.

Last set of allen wrenches you will need! I wasnt even aware there were allen wrenches this small or in half sizes. Have used the tiny ones on my road bike and set screws on the shower door; they work great, you get a little flex when turning a stubborn screw but it never slipped or broke. Excellent proof that the sizes are accurate/precise and made of quality metal. Great that you get both standard and metric in one kit and that they are a little longer than the average Allen wrench…great for tight hard to reach spaces and the short end gives you more torque while the longer end gives you more leverage or torque. Another plus is that the storage is color coded, red for standard and black for metric. Great addition to your toolbox.

Nice sturdy set. The longer shank makes it is easy to get enough pressure to tighten the set screw. The carrying cases are made from sturdy plastic (black for metric and red for SAE) and flip open to make access to the wrench you need quick and easy. It would be nice if the numbers for the sizes were a little larger. They can be harder to read in lower light. Overall good quality set at a reasonable price.

Overall, I am very happy with this set. The holster keeps all of the wrenches organized and keep from moving and sliding around. Previously, I had a wrench set on a big key ring looking thing. It was difficult to pull the set in and out of my tool bag and I had to work with the entire set jingling around when i was trying to work – I felt like a janitor trying to get the right key to work! This set easily goes right in and out of my bag or even my pocket with no problem.The wrenches themselves seem to be high quality and that they will last for many years.My only, somewhat nit picky complaint is that I wish there was a small magnet on the holster so that the wrench set would stay closed when folded.

The steelman 26 piece long arm hex set is a good set of hex tools. You get thirteen metric and thirteen SAE hex tools that come in two plastic holders to keep them organized. The holders are color coded. Black is metric. Each plastic holder has a hinged feature that allows you to open it up for the ease of selecting the tool you need in taking it out and putting it back. There is also a small lanyard loop on the side.
