Lightweight and easy to assemble and use, this inexpensive electric mower is exactly what I needed. I use it without the small bag, which would, probably, fill too quickly, making it more of a nuisance. The mower suffers a bit from not being self-powered, as it is, sometimes, difficult to push through dense grass, weeds, etc. When I, inadvertently, hit some twigs or rocks, I, reflexively, jumped back, expecting to be hit by the debris, as has happened with previous, gas, mowers, but, that did not happen, which was good, because some of the ejected material banged hard on the back of the closed bag chute (better the chute than me!). Oddly, it cuts better on the backstroke than forward, but, obviously, that wouldn’t be proper or safe to do. Cleaning was a bit of a hassle, as a lot of grass got caught above the single, metal, blade, and into lots of nooks and crannies (I think it took me longer to clean it than to mow!); a hose might have helped, but, I didn’t have it handy, at the time. The blade is still intact, clean, and no nicks, dents, etc; a quick wipe with a cotton towel made it ready for the next cutting, and, if necessary, I could have removed it with the included wrench. Despite some of the issues, I mentioned, this mower does what it is supposed to, and the price can’t be beat!

lawn mower works great, only minor issue is that if you want to run the machine without the basket, the machine will clog up and you have to manually open the hatch in the back to let the grass out.

I purchased this mower 3 years ago and mowed 2/3 acre of sloped, uneven and very rough terrain of heavy grass for those three seasons. In the spring I mowed usually two to three times per week. Gradually the plastic parts wore down as expected but I never thought it would last three years with the type of heavy use I put it through. It always started, always cut beautifully, even in areas of heavy thick tall grass and weeds though it was some slower in those places as expected. Amazingly it finally just now quit with motor burnout. I feel this little mower went above and beyond and I cant wait to get another.

Little mower is super light and nimble. Able to often use one hand and control cord with another. If you want to use a 30m cord, the cord gets pretty expensive because it requires a large gauge.

This is the second one I’ve purchased in three years. The first thing that goes is the bag, of course. Eventually the switch will wear out, but how else can you spend $33 a year to mow your 1/2 acre? I would recommend this little mower to anyone!

The mower arrived nicely boxed and was 75% assembled already. Just easily install the handles and the grass catcher mounting frame and you are ready to cut! And do not be fooled by this little giant- it cuts grass the same as more expensive and gas powered mowers too!. And boy is this a quiet machine. I can cut my grass at 7am on a Sunday morning if I wanted to without waking up the neighbors. Great item Sun Joe!
