I bought my MowJoe Model MJ403E in May 2016 and waited to review it until I had enough experience to make my comments meaningful. My MowJoe is the corded variety.What I like: Overall, I’m pleased. The machine is very light. It’s easy to maneuver. The evenness of the cutting is pretty good. It starts like a dream compared to my many gas mowers. I’m glad to have no gas fumes and no need for gas storage. What could be better: My yard area is not square. I am constantly having trouble with the cord being in my path. (I decided against the battery version partially because of the weight.) Also the blade’s cuts are quite a distance from my rock borders which makes edging a necessity. I want someone to develop a power cord that extends and contracts as the mower is in use so that it won’t be run over.

This is my second one. The battery mowers are really heavy and gas mowers are so terrible for the environment. The first one lasted about 3 years. It’s not particularly sturdy but, for me, worth it to be able to easily pick it up.

The features of this mower most notable to me are: 1. light weight therefore very easy to manoeuvre and carry around.2. The plastic body sheds grass clippings from it once dried out.3. Ease of clipping removal from bag and the way it attaches to the body.What I don’t find handy:1. The wing nuts at the base of the handle interfere with the mower getting close to protruding objects. Minor problem if you don’t have a rock garden like me.

The mower does a good job. Every bit as good as my old gas mower. I thought it would be quiet, but it’s louder than my gas mower and you have to remember to keep the cord behind you to avoid cutting it. Best part is no more gas cans.

Difficult to storage because you can t store it vertically, plus it’s hard to bend the handle for storage without the screws falling. I regret not going for the battery type, cable management is painfull.
