Light weight and cuts well. Worked as expected. Learning curve to work with cords.

I find that starting this mower is a whole lot easier than a gas model. Having a bad shoulder makes it very hard to pull start a gas mower. I would surely recommend this electric model.

I have so far only used it to mow my 1 acre country property, going around the many fruit trees and other obstacles.I prefer it so far to the greenworks corded mower I just had for many reasons. First, the wheels are much larger and the wheels on the greenworks broke down many times. I think the nuts they use on this mower will last a lot longer than the last mower, which was a problem on the greenworks as they came loose and got lost quickly. The height adjustment is better than the other mower, with a higher and lower option.Best of all so far, is it seems to be putting the cut grass into the bag more efficiently, and as I use the cut grass to mulch my garden, that is important to me.Negatives so far is the grass catcher bag. It is smaller, so needs to be emptied more often. The nuts mentioned above make it harder to take off and put on the bag too, but honeslty, the greenworks bag was not easy to take off and put on either, but it was a better design. The greenworks died after 3 years of mowing, but I mow about 20 hours a year, and with the high grass and up and down the hill action, I am tough on a mower. if this one lasts 4 years, I will for sure buy another one next time.

Sun Joe works for me –cuts real close…much better than my old gas rig. Fairly quite …I’m satisfied with it. I like the the ‘one lever -raise and lower feature’ Plenty of power.

Very easy to assemble, two pieces. The grass clipping catcher is very easy to remove and put back. The cutting swath is big enough to lower the time I spend cutting. I bought the recommended outdoor extension cord because my other ones weren’t heavy duty. Luckily, 100 ft. of cord lets me cut my grass all the way to the back!My only complaint is the same one I have about all electric lawn mowers, the extension cord pulls out of the lawn mower plug several times while cutting the grass. Why can’t there be a better solution to this common problem?Overall, I have had this lawn mower for 3 weeks and have cut my grass twice. I am happy with the performance of the machine and I would buy it again. It was a “Best Deal” on the Home Depot website the day I bought it; a great price for the machine!

The lawn mower has worked very so far – only used it a few times. I had no problem cutting tall grass and going over uneven ground. I especially how easy it is to change the height.

This mover was bought to replace an old trusty mover that was given to me 12 years ago. Unfortunately, the old mower had cut it’s last blade of grass for good. The Sun Joe Mow turned out to be a great replacement. Similar in every aspect, and has exceeded expectations. Although, the test of time will reveal it’s true value.I would highly recommend this mower to anyone in the market for one.

I submitted a review of this mower on August 17 giving it 1 star. Sun Joe responded, and I followed up by calling the number. The representative offered a 20% discount on the mower if I purchased directly from Sun Joe, with no shipping charges. Their price was $169, making the 20% discount $135 which was $14 less than my purchase price from Home Depot. The representative said if there was a problem, I could call Sun Joe who would assist me in trying to address any issues. If the problem couldn’t be fixed, Sun Joe would send a brand new replacement free of charge and provide return postage to send the dysfunctional mower back to Sun Joe.The offer seemed fair, and I was excited about the mower originally. I have decided to try the mower 1 more time and will provide a review based on the product’s performance. My rating is based on the customer service offer.Aaron Defenbaugh, St. Louis

My first electric mower and it didn’t disappoint. Powerful motor and excellent cutting path. No more fumes and running to the gas station when the gas runs out. One more thing the noise factor is no where near that of a gas mower glad I bought it. Just a recommendation go ahead and pickup that 12/3 outdoor electrical cord, the smaller ones get a little warm and it’s recommended by the manufacturer.

Showed up undamaged. Took me about 15 minutes to assemble, no special tools required. Got it near the end of the summer, so I mowed with it about a half dozen times, both bagging and mulching, and it did a nice job. I also used it to chew up and bag leaves, and I was really impressed. It didn’t bog down when I would run it into a big pile like some other electrics I’ve had, so the motor is good and strong. The larger rear wheels help with turning, a nice touch since the deck is all metal, not plastic (lighter) like many lower end electric mowers. Very easy to adjust the cutting height. Haven’t found any flaws so far.

Worked fine, easy to set up, but it died the second time I used it, barely 2 hours of run time. I went through troubleshooting, no luck, contacted support by mail, they quickly agreed to send a replacement mower, but I had to return the original (they paid freight, fortunately I kept the box). Just received the replacement, we now have snow so don’t know when I will be able to try it. It’s a great option for a small-medium yard, powerful and less maintenance than a gas mower. But reliability is a question.

I bought this for my retired uncle. His first one ever. He didn’t want a gas mower so he was looking at electric ones. He chose this corded one over a battery operated mower due to concerns about battery life. He uses it with a 50ft extension cord. It works very well. He has used it a few times without complaint. It’s very lightweight, easy to maneuver. He uses it on the mulch setting and it cuts up the grass nice and fine. It’s much quieter than a gas mower of course. I recommend it and would buy it again even if it wasn’t on sale. (I bought it for about one fifty.)
