This is a great lawnmower. The cord is annoying, but you get used to it. It’s worth dealing with the cord to not have to deal with gas and oil. I’m a 36 yo mom and this is very easy to operate and assemble. After the third time using it, I’ve figured out the cord. Keep the cord to the side, not behind you and you’ll do fine.

I purchased this mower because as a senior woman I am unable to manage a gas mower anymore. Grass had grown over a ft. high yet the Sun Joe amazed me at its highest setting, by powering right through. This is one great machine!

Easy assembly and works great

Really nice little lawnmower. One tip not to do is buy an electric cord that’s too long like I did. Pace the longest distance from a socket off and then add 10-20 feet.

This mower is effective in cutting the grass and is without the hassles of maintenance that comes with a gas powered mower

En general es un buen producto, ligera, facil de ensamblar. Solo para mi gusto la altura del corte es muy alto, me gustaria un poco mas bajo.

Easy to assemble & quiet. So far, so good!

Easy to assemble. Cuts level and mulches well. A bit heavier that my previous all-electric mower, but that’s about my only complaint. Overall, this is a good value for the “gas-less” homeowner.

After using a push reel mower for several years, I decided to get a mulching and bagging mower to help vacuum up the leaves in the fall. I have been using an electric weed trimmer and already have a 100′ heavy duty electrical cord that can reach the far edges of my lawn, which is about 30 yards on the diagonal in the back, not as large in the front. This corded electric mower works great, the first time I used it, I had been cutting the grass high for the summer, so the first autumn cut removed quite a bit of the grass blades and it works just fine. In the early winter months I am cutting less frequently and set the blade at the lowest height setting. This gets the leaves up pretty well while the grass is not growing as quickly, as the clippings are mostly leaves. I just dump the chopped up leaves from the catcher in my wooded areas and flower beds for mulch to keep the weeds down. The large wheels are easy to roll over the bumpy portions of the yard and can turn tight corners. Once you get the hang of how to drape the cord, it does not really cramp your style or cutting pattern, it drapes just beyond the area of the next cut line. Works great for me, just what I was looking for. It even picks up some of the pinecones if they have not been mashed down to the ground and are still floating on the grass. My grass got burned in spots from over-fertilizing, but overall this mower has helped keep the grass cut to a good height in the summer or winter months, don’t blame my splotchy grass on this mower, but on my bad fertilizer application after a long dry summer.

I have an older model of Mow Joe which I loved. I returned the second one to the store.I may get one with battery pack, so it will be more easier to mow without a long cord.

I bought this 3 months ago and have used it every other week since. It assembled easily and ran well, even with the thicker first mow of the season. Not having to deal with gasoline and oil has been a treat! I like that it can mulch, bag, and side-discharge. But I’ve only been using it in mulching mode with excellent results. It worked fine until 2 weeks ago when I hit a steel post with it. Nicked both ends of the blade and bent the motor shaft, thus voiding the warranty. I’ve done this with gas mowers before and expected to be able to pound the motor shaft mostly straight again, put on a new blade, and keep going with little or no ill effect. However, the motor on this mower has a much thinner shaft than a gasoline mower which made me worry about the bearings. I succeeded in pounding the shaft straight and continued using the mower. It seemed fine save for a slight bit more vibration than before. But when mowing today, the motor bearings failed. I enjoyed using it until that one accident, so I’ve just bought a second mower of the same model on sale. But lesson learned. Double-check and remove obstacles before mowing; this mower can only take one good ‘hit’ before it’s ruined.Pros: Easy assembly, clear instructions, decent warranty, metal deck, fairly quiet, no gasoline, solid performance.Cons: Small quality issues (plastic rear wheel hub pops off occasionally, foam padding on handle tore on first two uses.) and isn’t as mechanically robust as a gasoline mower (only withstood one object hit while mowing)

The lawn mower body is well made, good materials. The foldable frame is poorly designed, you have to unscrew the frame almost all the way to fold it (other lawnmowers easier to fold). The grass-catcher is cheaply made and is very small for the size mower, the rubber holding the bag keeps coming off. The electrical cord holder is a weird design, I have tried to use it In different ways.
