A mower without wheels? I get it! But the truth is that this mower really works and works quite well. Does it “hover”? Well, if it makes it easier for someone to envision, it glides over the grass. I purchased the mower about two months ago as grass cutting begins at the end of February here. When I was using it, I have neighbors come up and say “what are you doing? or What is that?” I would tell them it is my new lawnmower and they just stood there and watched me use it. I let those who asked to use it try it out and then they just had to have one themselves.The easiest way for me to give you an idea about the mower is to provide a first-hand list about it.What it will do:- cut grass. The grass should be around 4 inches or shorter and DRY. When I cut taller grass, it just clogged the machine.- It can be used in any direction. Go back and forth, side to side, or anything in-between.- It excels around trees, bushes, and hills.What it will not do:- Scalp. I really tried to scalp the lawn just to see how hard it was.- It will not (at least not for me) cut the extension cord.- It will not cut tall or worse, wet grassTop suggestions:- The first thing for you to do is move the blades to the upper level. This may take you 15-20 seconds.- Make sure no grass accumulates on top of the housing. The extra weight will make the mower harder to use.- This is for small yards. Think subdivision, not farm.- use a 50-foot extension cord. You can use a 100 foot but will have to be a heavier gauge.
