The power pruners are a nice idea, but in practice it falls short. The cutting action is slow. It weighs 1 pound, 7 ounces. The blades are short and the shape pushes the stems out of the cutting area. The bolt and lock on either side of the blades make it difficult to get into tight spaces. The blades should be longer and shaped to grab the item being cut. It jams cutting anything as thick as my pinkie finger. I might have recommended it for those that don’t have the strength for regular pruners, but the weight is too much to grip easily for long periods.

Only had the pruner for a day, after charging it gave it a try. It took care of the branches with no problems to start out with. But after about 20 minutes of using the blade came loose and stopped working. I had to loosen the nut rest set the top blade then it started working again. Not sure why hopefully I tighten the nut enough so it won’t happen again. Also, it’s a little slow, but that just the way it works I guess. My wife with weak hands loved it.

This pruner does all I had hoped it would. Without it my wife would not have been able to help me with the extensive pruning required in our yard due to arthritis in her hands. This is the perfect tool for our situation.m

Works as expected. Very quick for smaller stalks, up to the diameter of a pinkie finger. Cut is clean. Can do slightly larger but you have to let the pruner cycle open and then move the pruner around the stalk to do another cut. Would be nice if there was a quick draw holster to put it in as you gather up the clippings. A wrist strap would probably allow the pruner to get caught up in the shrub.

Does a good job, but jawed could be bigger.

Gave this to my mother as an early Mothers day gift. She loves it. She can’t squeeze the manual pruners anymore, so this has been great for her. Got it on sale, which makes it all even better.

These pruners have been geared so they can easily cut what they advertise , are light weight & have rapid recovery . They appear to be beveled on both sides of the blade–about 23 degrees on one side and 15 on the other. The battery lasts for a whole pruning session. All Snow Joe products I’ve bought have out performed all other brands.I’d like to write a review on my favorite: Snow Joe leaf vacuum / blower.

If you want an electric cordless pruner this one is of excellent quality. The features; blade protector, blade sharpness, the diameter of branches it’s able to cut, and the cutting time on a charge are all excellent. I found the pruner to be heavy for my hand and yet my hand did not become fatigued in the 20 minutes I was using it. Due to it’s design I was able to get into densely grown shrubs (a Bird of Paradise to be precise) and trim the dead branches from the base of the plant; that is thanks to it’s fairly compact design.Initially, it seemed slow in the pruning process but I was amazed as to how much pruning I covered in a relatively short amount of time and again with no hand (or arm) fatigue. While I will say this pruner is of superior quality it still seems expensive to me, hence my downgrade on the value.Charge time is 65 minutes.

First, I love that this comes partially charged. The charging time for this is quite lengthy…..Approx 70 minutes to charge with a run-time of approx 40 minutes. I wasn’t sure how these would actually work…You press the trigger and it automatically cuts, one snip per press of the trigger. It can really cut through some thick stuff, too. Anything from rose bushes to small tree limbs and everything in between. There is even a little light that shines down the tip of the pruner 🙂 I’m constantly needing a pruner and glad that I gave this cordless pruner a try. I like it and think you will, too.

It works very good I see no problems for it.

For it’s size does a good job. Don’t expect to cut branches too thick but it works well up to 3/4”, or 2 cm, at times needs a double cut.

This product makes my pruning job so much easier than in the past. I love it.

I have about 5 trees and many bushy plants and this will cut any little branches up to about one inch thick. I can clean up all the little off shoots and branches from the trunk of my pepper trees in a few minutes. My only regret is that I didn’t have one of these 10 years ago.

Have carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. With a hand pruner I’m good for 15 minutes. This pruner a life saver. Can work with it for hours. After a year and a half it just would not work. I had not register the pruner when new, had not saved sales slip and could not prove when or where I bought it. Called customer service and was put on hold for say 15 minutes so I figured I just might as well throw it away and buy another. Then the music stopped “JR” came on and after asking my name told me straight away he was going to take care of me. “JR” got my address and telephone number and e-mail address. Advised he would send a new one immediately and expect it in a day or two at no charge. He e-mailed me a confirmation “ticket” number Warranty Order number and a prepaid UPS address label. E-mail advised to put old one in box new one came in. Now, that is the way to treat a customer.

It actually stopped working after 2 weeks, company replace it with 2 days (rating is mostly for the wonder customer service nlbr Snow Joe). I haven’t had a chance to use new one. I think something was wrong with the old one, new one seems to be much easier to use (less hand fatigue). I will update if I have problems with the new one, otherwise it is a great product.

Works great, easy to handle simple to operate. Arrived when it was supposed to, I charged the battery and used itto trim the plants around my porch that were over grown. I am 77 years old woman and have lost the grip in my hands andthis helps not having to apply so much pressure on my hands. Wish I had gotten it sooner. Would have saved a few blisters from the hand held shears.
