This product is strong, handling tall weeds and young saplings as big around as a finger. It is amazing! Dragging around a cord may be ‘a drag’ but dead batteries is frustrating. Having a large yard in a rural area, there are plenty of areas that need trimming.

As an older widow, finding equipment that I can handle is usually most of the job. Just used it once since bought it. Still learning to see what I can do without premature wearing the blades. A softer touch of the safety button will be great improvement. My thumb was numb holding down the safety button halfway before finish trimming the yard. The reason for buying this is to avoid having to pull strings from the spool every few minutes. Tried the automatic feeding strings have the same problem and emptied the spool quickly tool.

This is the second one I purchased. The first one worked ok, although it was hard to control the speed of the blade. The hood finally failed to stay on, so I have purchased another. I cannot figure out how to get the hood to “snap” in place. Maybe it’s because I am a 69 yr old female with arthritis in my hands, but I cannot get it on and stay on. I have searched the site for video instructions or ANY instructions, but can’t find help. I think more information is needed on how to secure the hood

Purchased SUNJOE stringless edger for SUNJOE. PURCHASED 3-BLADE PACKAGE OF EXTRA BLADES. Took my time to READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS! Went to test it out whacking down tall (2 feet high) spring grasses. Did good! Next day, I began to edge by house and neglected flower beds. Hymalaian Blackberry vines were taking over! After breaking two (2) BLADES, I developed a technique of stripping upwards as I thrust the SUNJOE into the vegetative green mass of plants, grass, and blackberry vines. Still working on this project … SUNJOE seems to be doing the job. We have a SUNJOE lawnmower, also!
