Works well. Blade seems to hold up despite the times I hit things with it. May need a new blade yearly, but it beats messing with that string. Corded, but that is very manageable; compared to having to maintain a 2-cycle engine and yanking your guts out trying to start it every time.

I had to add a washer outboard of the blade after the plastic arbor deformed and the blade was slipping. The arbor should have been steel. An arbor lock button would be nice, most rotary cutting tools have them. OTT, it works.

Great! Lightweight and easy to use. Assembly was easy for a 72 year old woman like me!

Blade chipped already but probably my fault. Otherwise good

The tool is heavier than a string trimmer and it’s more difficult to use but it’s nice to not have to replace the string. It works better in a heavy growth so I use it in thick grass but still use a string trimmer, too.

I think it performs well but the plastic blade wears down very quickly. It will be expensive to use it if I have to keep replacing the blades.

I am a senior citizen with 2 injured shoulders (temporary), but the weeds couldn’t wait. It took me 3 days to do the yard (shoulders), but it was not impossible. I am sure once my injuries are healed, all will be done quickly as I found it easy to maneuver.I did wear eye protection and long pants with tennis shoes. It.s just common sense.

This is my first time using a lawn trimmer, and the Sun Joe Lawn Trimmer/Edger is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. It’s pretty lightweight. I took the second handle off as it’s just in the way.

This was purchased to take down and maintain a flower bed that was overgrown with weeds and Silver saw palmetto palms. It handled the job pretty well. The overgrown weeds went down with no problem, even the ones with the largest stems were effortless. The palms did fair a bit better. This tool handled the smaller ones, but once their stem gets about the size of a quarter this stops cutting through them quickly. Overall I’d say it does exactly what it’s superposed to and has actually performed better than I expected.

It does what it’s supposed to. It’s a little heavier than my last trimmer, but not too much. I love not having to screw around with a string anymore, the blade makes it so much easier!

I have owned this product for a month and have found very easy to operate. A little bit heavy but works like magic. No strings to replace and if used carefully, should last long. The protective cover is a bit flimsy as keep coming lose during the use, but can be snapped back easily. Overall, a good product for those who do not like replacing strings and the smell of gasoline.

The Sun Joe 4.5 Amp Corded Electric Stringless Trimmer/Edger works great. I really love it. I

It was easy to use and lightweight. Order extra blades when you purchase the machine. I chipped the end off of one side of the blade in the first 5 minutes. Still used it and it ran like a champ.

I liked it and was very happy with it. My brother thought it wasn’t a good product and bought a more expensive larger trimmer (which I have yet to use- i dont like it)

I’ve never used a trimmer before and I’m not very “handy” with things like this, but it was very easy to put together and use even for someone like me. It worked great on the weeds in my (formerly) overgrown yard. I could have spent a lot more money on fancier ones, but this works just fine for my needs. Definitely a bargain!

I loved the concept! But it is a very heavy motor . The vinyl blade is a great idea, but catches in the grass and kicks back. I wear solid shoes and long pants, but afraid it will hit my legs. If I could have touched this or picked it up to see the weight – I would have found something lighter weight.

I gave this a 5 star because it’s well made but I can’t review this as it wouldnt be fair to the product. I am an active 77 year old woman and it was too heavy and awkward for me. Going back to my sun joe light weight string one that I love to use.

I noticed that the blade wore down rather quickly when trimming weeds along the stone wall. Also, it doesn’t take much to slow down the rpms. Like longer grass and weeds that get tangled around the spindle instead of being cut by the less than effective blade. On the flip side it is still better than dealing with string that never feeds properly.
