I am very pleased with this trimmer. It does a very neat job, and doesn’t fling the cut grass all over me and up toward my eyes! It is well balanced and fairly easy for an elderly lady (me) to use. My string trimmer would jam – the string would tangle and not feed out. It was too much trouble especially when I’m not able to disconnect the spool! With its sturdy blade, it is a small lawnmower without the wheels.

You really have to pay attention with this trimmer, you will break the blade if you hit something hard. The string trimmer is more forgiving, but the blade trimmer is more heavy duty.

I have been looking for a stringless trimmer for several years. My older one finally broke down and I couldn’t find one to replace it. I bought a string trimmer and basically threw my money away. It arrived ahead of time. Easy to put togeather. I am a 67 year old female with a.huge back yard that was a jungle. The first time I used it I hit something and broke the guard and blade. Ordered them and off I went. At first I thought it was a little heavy but that’s fine it gets the job done. I though it would not get the job done, but I was really wrong. If was any lighter it would not get the job done. Thank you for this trimmer it’s GREAT. I ordered the Martha Stewart chain saw can’t wait to use it. Will let you know when I use it. Love the blade no stopping to rewind.

only used twice so far. I think a string does better at edging. some parts that are under a patio edge are not reached when trimming. not sure how long blade will last. good points though, don’t have to deal with string being fed too much. wrapping around trimmer. or cutting you. this blade does throw things farther though. hard to cut grass close to fence,or wall without the blade hitting. not sure how quickly that will ruin the blade. only used twice. jury still out.

The weed eater is heavier than anticipated and the handle won’t adjust any shorter for me so I am hanging on to the actual shaft of the weed eater instead of the actual handle for my left hand. Thus getting some electrical vibration feeling when trimming.

I think this is genius! The blade bends if i hit a rock or something, NO MORE STRING REPLACEMENT!! It’s lightweight but does the job of a professional machine, and it edges like a dream! Yes I highly recommend this product!

I’ve used this trimmer to decimate the overgrown brush and palm bushes of an ignored property and it worked wonderfully. It has since been used on a bi-weekly basis to manage the property and runs perfectly. Honestly, I figured it would quit as I’m quite hard on yard equipment, I’ve run through several different brands and styles of trimmers. I give this a 5/5 star rating because it bested my expectations with ease of use, weight, and durability.The blades are not stocked widely so it’s best to purchase the 3-pack straight from Sun Joe.
