I’ve only used this once so I may not have figured it out yet, but this was super awkward to use. The weight of the trimming end is so much heavier that it was tiring to use..forget about holding it over your head for those tough to reach areas. I only really need it for one bush but had hoped to use it on all my hedges…not going to happen unless next time I find a better pivot point.

Very effective garden tool, easily removes those hard to reach areas of large shrubs. Cutting head is somewhat heavy if used horizontally, but I quickly learnt how to adjust my stance and grip appropriately. Easy blade adjustment. Would be tiring for extended use, but, especially for the price (equivalent to only a very few hours rental), a great purchase for the average gardener.

I now can trim high and wide bushes easily with the Sun Joe pole hedge trimmer. I like that it telescopes to the highest setting and has the adjustable head to change cutting angle for rounding cuts. In its lowest pole setting I can reach over wide hedges in one pass that required multiple passes with a normal handheld trimmer and being long I don’t have the cord dangling close to the cutting blade. (That alone can save some time in repairing cut cords.) Very well made and the price was just right.
