The adjustable head is a great feature. I can trim the top of tall bushes without having to climb a ladder. The extension feature works well but makes it a bit ungainly since all the weight is at the end.The trimmer is top heavy and requires a fair amount of upper body strength to use. The shoulder strap helps a bit.Overall a good product but it gives you a workout.

I’m a 5’ 3” woman who strives to be independent, reason why I ordered this item. Very difficult to reach the button on the handle, obviously made for someone with much longer arms; this makes it very awkward to use and therefore; makes a heavy piece of equipment even heavier.

I now can trim high and wide bushes easily with the Sun Joe pole hedge trimmer. I like that it telescopes to the highest setting and has the adjustable head to change cutting angle for rounding cuts. In its lowest pole setting I can reach over wide hedges in one pass that required multiple passes with a normal handheld trimmer and being long I don’t have the cord dangling close to the cutting blade. (That alone can save some time in repairing cut cords.) Very well made and the price was just right.

This is a quality well constructed product. Cuts well. Rotating cutting head operates very well. The extension arm works easily. HOWEVER, It is VERY difficult to operate because of its WEIGHT, especially with the pole extended. Its even heavy just cutting parallel with no extension. I do not recommend this product unless you are very STRONG or have a strong handy man. My first, and last time, that I will use this hedger I’m grunting, straining, and cussing to try to get my bushes trimmed, and thinking about the young lady in the product video who appeared to use it with ease. NOT! I Relooked at video and saw her only for a few seconds and the hedger was dropping lower and not in total control after her cutting stroke. Try that for over an hour.

Easy to set up from the shipping box. The trimmer is solid and strong. The weight was a little heavier than expected but once you start trimming you get use to the weight and angles in the trimming process.
