Shipping was prompt. Only used it once on some taller bushes but it worked very well. The only drawback as I have seen on other reviews when the trimmer is on the extended pole it is heavy but being able to reach hard to get places and the adjustable angles make it well worth it in my opinion.

I used this hedge trimmer just yesterday. I had a regular trimmer, but I could not reach the top of a tree even with a ladder. When I was shopping for a telescopic trimmer, I came across this product and fortunately it was on sale. It is easy to use, not very heavy as I had feared and cuts great. Overall the quality appears to be well built and solid. I have other SNOW JOE products too (electric thatcher, snow blower) and I like the quality of their products.

I used the trimmer for the first time this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding quality and versatility of it and it has exceeded my expectations. I was able to easily trim and shape all of the shrubs and even the ornamental trees in my entire yard. Some had grown to height of 10 feet and the telescoping pole attachment was a godsend for me even though I am 6 feet tall. My only word of caution to others using the pole attachment is that when it is extended to its maximum length and the trimmer attached to it, it can be a bit top heavy and requires some pretty good upper body strength to control it at certain angles. Although, the included shoulder strap does help to maintain balance, I found an attachment for the pole called a “Back-Saving Tool Handle, Labor-Saving Ergonomic Shovel or Rake Handle Attachment” by BackEZ. I can’t wait to use it, as it appears that it will add even more versatility to the trimmer.

The Sun Jose 19” hedge trimmer is ideal for reaching all those areas I needed to trim but have not been able to reach. The telescoping handle works well allowing me to reach four or five feet above and down a steep slope I have never been able to get to before. The swivel feature provides the right angle for cutting when you are at an odd position to the area your trying to trim. The only issue to note is that when the pole is fully extended to it can a little more difficult to maneuver due to the weight. Overall I’m very pleased with the Sun Joe.

Had this for a couple of weeks and I’m very happy with my purchase.Home Depot is an excellent place with great online support and fast reliable delivery. The trimmer its self is well built and the convertible feature makes this a very handy tool to have around. Quickly goes from a pole mounted unit down to a regular trimmer and back again in no time. A 4.5 amp motor provides lots of power to cut through the really thick hedges or bushes.Hope I don’t need it but a 2 year warranty provides extra peace of mind.

This telescoping trimmer worked very well in both short and telescoping configurations. It is perfect for a homeowner in that being electric, there are no issues with starting a gas engine that gets only occasional use. The compromise is that the weight of the motor is at the end of the pole, so it is rather tiring to use. However, it certainly beats climbing a ladder. To achieve the low weight that it has, it is made of plastic in a lot of places, but it is well designed, does not seem cheap, and is overall a good design compromise. I am a design engineer, and I could not have designed it any better, especially at it’s price.

Works great and has a great telescoping feature that I couldn’t do my hedges without since it allows me to reach about 13 feet. The only downside is it is a bit heavy when fully extended but that would be true with any trimmer with a long reach. Highly recommend it.
