While the machining, feel and packaging are excellent on this torque wrench, I find myself a bit confused as to why Sunex chose such a small torque range for the 1/4″. Perhaps, to be fair, they were shooting for a particular application, or the head size favors tight spaces over strength, or they plan on selling this as a set with a larger wrench, but I don’t have that information. Simply put, for the current price (as of this review) it does not give any kind of advantage besides aesthetics over the many alternatives on the market.I chose to test the wrench on my bicycle, where most torque values are relatively low. The first turns of the adjustment handle were a bit rough, but it freed up nicely when working through the whole range and hasn’t happened since. The proper value was set and the wrench gave a satisfyingly assertive click. This is where the joy ended and the above problem manifested itself. I was able to only tighten one screw on the bike at maximum setting, as all other hardware required a slightly higher value. While I will definitely keep this in case of the rare chance that I’ll need a very low torque wrench, I cannot recommend it for the price.

Today I share with you a Sunex 1/4” Torque Wrench. I am impressed with the packaging while unboxing! I feel like the storage case is perfect. With a silver latch and black textured ABS plastic cover, it’s right at home with the full time mechanic or the DIY handy person. The tool itself has a great ergo feel and is easy to function. I like the solid build feel and tighter tolerances of the fit and finish. What a great tool for the money!

I got this Torque Wrench and have to say i was impressed with the quality. The finish, the knurling on the handle, and the operation was all smooth and nice. The engraving and etchings are nicely done as well. The case it comes in is not bad either. Im not a fan of plastic latches but otherwise it is a nice case and will keep the wrench protected. It was also nice to see an included “qc” sheet showing actual values. As other reviewers have noted…it does tend to read low at higher settings. As for use…its easy to use. It has a nice “Click” to it when you hit the set torque. My only complaint is the designed for setting the torque.Pulling the collar down and turning it I was only able to set ~2.5 in-lb at a time (a full turn is 5in-lb). Only an annoyance if trying to adjust the torque while leaving the wrench on the fastener. Other wise its easy to hold the collar down and just turn the head of the wrench to get where it needs to go faster. My only complaint is that for the price, I would have liked to see it a bit closer to actual torque settings.

Got this a week ago and have had to use it several times. Works perfect easy adjust and stays there. Slim line design works great fits in tight spaces. Easy to read torque values even after you have used it and got it dirty. Does what’s it’s designed to do perfectly.

So I received this torque wrench a few weeks ago, and I can’t say enough great thing’s about this tool! It’s slightly longer than a 3/8″ drive ratchet, and feels amazing in the hand, by far the nicest torque wrench I’ve ever used! The knurling makes for a comfortable grip, quick release makes for fast increment changes, and the audible click is very distinct to let you know when it has reach proper torque spec. You typical in/lb torque wrench only goes down to 20 in, this one shines by going down to 10 in/lbs, which makes it suit able for not only working on small engines, precision equipment, but also gun smithing! Which is where I happened to use mine setting up a rifle scope. I would give it 10 out of 10 stars if possible, and would highly recommend anyone add this to their shop!

I received this torque wrench a couple days ago and didn’t have an immediate need for it. I decided to bring it into work and check the torque settings with one of our torque testers (0-100in-lb). I’ve attached a picture of the results of this torque test compared to the setting on the wrench. Most of the test results were slightly lower than the set value, however this errs on the safe side. Despite this, the torque wrench has a really nice feel to it. The case it comes in is very sturdy and the markings to designate the torque settings are very clear and hold position well. I look forward to using it when I have to do some engine work on my motorcycles.

I got this 1/4 inch torque wrench a few weeks ago and put it to test right away. As a professional automotive technician I highly recommend this product! It is great for torquing intake manifolds. Also, it is good for torquing bolts and nuts in those tight hard to reach areas due to its size.
