I try to be a well rounded DIY’er with most repairs done myself. One thing missing from the arsenal has been an Inch Pounds Torque wrench. Of course if you have a foot pounds wrench you could always do the conversion if necessary, but, when you don’t need a monster amount of torque its nice to have the right tool. The Sunex #30250 3/8″ drive 50-250 inch pound torque wrench has proven to be an excellent addition to the shop and was put to work immediatly helping out a neighbor with a repair on his riding mower. As with my other sunex tools this wrench has an excellent finish and quality feel. All of the measurements are nicely engraved onto the body of the tool clearly and easy to read. The knurled handle feels great in the hand, my only complaint there is that the handle could be about a half inch longer so as to not stop short in my hand (those with large hands may find the handle slightly on the short side, but given the nature of the tool its probably for the best you can’t give it the kung-fu grip and over torque your setting easily). All in all I believe this tool to be of great value for its price point!

So this came to me at the perfect time. I had to do a rebuild on one of our Paint line systems diaphragm pump. This 3/8th tourqe wrench was light , and and spot on. Every bolt I put on was snug with no crack in the plastic body of the pump! The wrench was a grate to use no slop in the full metal body so you can really feel when you crank down and the audible click is perfect pitch. Needless to say I’m extremely happy with this wrench and it’s a beautiful to look at as well . Glade it’s in my arsenal of tools!( would absolutely recommend this to fellow wrenchers)

I received this a few weeks ago and was finally able to put this to the test this past weekend working on my Camaro. Comes in a really nice hard plastic case that locks. Once opened, you’ll find the instructions and calibration certificate which was dated not long ago. This torque wrench is super easy to set and adjust and has a really smooth action. Once specified torque is reached, you’ll hear the wrench click, making it really easy to use and set. Great torque wrench for the price.

I received this in/lb Torque Wrench and was immediately pleased with the case. I like having a case for my tools and the case feels sturdy and the latches are separate components, which I like because they won’t break off if flexed too much. Opening the case the build quality and finish of the Torque Wrench was quite nice. It was slightly smaller than my previous in/lb no name torque wrench, but it didn’t feel cheap because of it. The Sunex Torque Wrench had measurements in in/lb and N/m with the micrometer scale reading in 1 in/lb increments and .1 N/m increments. I really like the spring loaded stop at each increment, I like knowing I’m not inadvertently changing the setting as I’m using the tool. As opposed to my last in/lb Torque Wrench I’m able to hear the clicking when torque is reached at the lowest setting instead of having to go by feel of a skipping ratchet.I’m quite pleased with this tool and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of an inch/pound torque wrench.
