I really like how complete this set is: 1/4-3/4 SAE and 6-19 metric! The ratchet fits great in your hand and feels very solid. The sockets are well built and have a great fit on fasteners. The best part about the sockets is the hex built into them so you can put a ratcheting wrench on them, making them able to fit in very tight spots! The only thing that would make them better is if they had a detent ball or something to hold the socket in a wrench. Otherwise, Sunex nailed it with this set!

Quality socket set featuring a highly polished ratchet wrench that is very comfortable in the hand. Smooth finish makes it easy to clean off grease, grime etc after use. The sockets are the real star here. They measure 22.5 mm high (.887) and can be driven by the 3/8 square or the 17 mm hex. Using the ratchet the overall height is a little over 36 mm (1.430), however if you use a ratcheting wrench on the hex the overall height is 22.5 mm. This makes tight places like behind firewalls, under dashboards and small engine work easier. I also like the hex for finger tightening and loosening better than a round socket. I believe they will make a nice addition to you tool collection and like me you will use them everywhere, not just in tight quarters.

I got this set a few weeks ago and have been putting the ratchet through the ringer. It has held up well and the handle is super comfortable. Personally i dislike soft handled ratchets so I was pleased with the feel of this handle. The ratcheting mechanism has held up real well to the abuse I have put it through and hasn’t slipped once. Now to the low profile sockets….I was always in doubt about their strength and durability but these sockets have exceeded my expectations. I used the 17mm socket with a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter on my long 1/2 ratchet and it did not let me down. The 17mm shank end is great for tight spaces and are excellent to use on long zero degree offset wrenches. Overall the quality surpasses my expectations and rivals those off of the tool truck for almost triple the price. Highly recommend this set to anyone from the professional technician to the DIYer. This set has a permanent spot in my tool cart and replaced my shallow 3/8 sockets that are back in my toolbox.

I work on semi trucks so half time chrome sockets don’t cut it. N the sockets have hex outside so u can use a wrench to get in a tight spot a ratchet n socket wouldn’t let you get in. N there a thinner wall then a regular socket so u can reach recessed areas.

There are times, particularly around the backside of the engine near the firewall, that you just can’t get the right amount of torque on a open or box end wrench. This is the tool for those tight spaces. The neck is hex so you can use a combination wrench as an offset or use the ratchet. The provided 3/8″ ratchet is top-drawer, primary use. Nice handle, very comfortable with high torque applications. This won’t be your primary socket set – it is very low so it only fits on bolt heats, not nuts with the protruding bolt. It will, however, save a lot of time on disassembly; and because the sockets are chrome moly, they are very tough and won’t round like a combination wrench. Great addition to my tool set. I didn’t know I needed it until I tried it.

I chose this set, as it has a good sample of useful SAE and Metric sockets and was impact friendly. I used this set, the day it arrived, on swapping out the battery on my lawn tractor, which has both SAE and Metric fasteners. No need for the impact wrench, but these sockets and handle worked flawlessly. Good balance in the ratchet, smooth 80-tooth action and great feel on the socket finish. The label on the sockets could be larger or more legible, but then I am working with NOS eyeballs, now 62 years old.As with my 3/8′ and 1/2″ Sunnex impacts, I would expect this set work as well. The sockets are now shipping with a 17MM peripheral drive option as well as standard 3/8″ internal fit. I tried the 17MM with a ratcheting box wrench and liked the option. The 3/8″ internals has the “lock hole” for the detent ball on the ratchet to catch the socket, and that worked flawlessly as well.No complaints on this set, and further work I did this week on my 2003 Triumph bears this out. Good deal on affordable tools with a great warranty. Enjoy.

Very well built tool. should however be designed to drive by the hex part of the sockets.compared to a snap on 3/8 ratchet and a 3/4 shallow socket there is only 1/8 inch difference in height. if the sockets fit into a hex in the ratchet this would be perfect

I prefer to use impact sockets for everything instead of having both impact and chrome sockets so this set was the perfect option for me. The sockets are very low profile which makes getting into tight places easy. They also have a hex profile on the outside of the sockets so you can use them with a wrench for an even lower profile. Both SAE and Metric sizes use a 17mm wrench. The only downside about this set is the foam tray. I personally would have much rather it came in a plastic case like my other Sunex impact sockets. I understand why people like the foam trays for use in tool carts but for someone like myself that doesn’t own a tool cart and spends most of their time working either outside or at a different location a locking plastic case would have been a better option.

This set comes in really handy in tight spaces. Sockets are well made, they are six point which mean you put more torque on them and not worry about rounding the head of the fastener off.The price point and warranty is great. Sockets are well marked with the sizes and come with wide range of sizes in both SAE and METRIC The only dislike that I had was the ratchet that come with the set is a normal 3/8 drive ratchet. Which does not make the set low profile. I think it should come with a ratchet wrench with some sort of detent to hold the socket on the wrench which would make the socket stay like it is on a ratchet. The socket are cut for a detent on the inside and outside.

When I got this Low Profile socket set I didn’t really know what all I had that I needed this set. Turns out if you calculated the time I’ve saved because I could use a ratchet instead of a wrench I’m pretty sure the set has paid for itself. There’s lots of features I love about the set like easy to read sizes, very well built, good strong gears in the ratchet and it came in a nice foam pad and every piece was cut out for the specific size and labeled on the foam. All I did was take it out of the box and straight to my tool box. When you need a ratchet and socket but not sure what size. Just take the whole pad with you and everything stays put. The only issue I have would be with the ratchet handle. It’s very nice and quality finish but as soon as I start to get sweaty or any grease or oil on my hands it does get slippery. Easily fixed if the handle was either knurled or some type of texture to help grip. I would for sure recommend this set to anyone. It’s quality tools from a quality company and very reasonably priced.

This low profile impact socket set includes both Metric and Standard sizes and a ratchet on top of that. The hex on the back of the socket can be used with a 17 mm wrench or ratcheting wrench. The ratchet is very nice, it has a fine tooth count and has a really nice chrome finish to it. The ratchet is a little unbalanced because the handle is heaver than the head, but it still fells solid in the hand. The sockets have a hole on the side of the so it can lock on to a ratchet so it wont fall off when your working in tight places. They’re Great for doing engine work were size is limited. I really didn’t realize how small these were until i got them. They have the size both laser etched and engraved into the socket so you will always be able to find what you are looking for. I highly suggest that you buy this, you wont regret it, its come in handy a lot more than i thought it would. Let me end this by saying this is set is amazing both for the professional and dIYer, with both Standard and Metric sizes it would be perfect for someone who works in tight clearances.

I’ve been trying to use this set exclusively for the past week. They are low profile but I haven’t had problems using them on nuts with some threads protruding. They work well with my cordless impact. The external hex for the sockets is 17mm, My pass through socket set is a 19mm external hex so you’re stuck using a 17mm wrench if a ratchet will not fit. I have a long flex head pass through ratchet that would work well in tight spots. The ratchet included is solid. All the weight is in the handle which feels kinda awkward when first using it. The reversing lever is exposed and I have inadvertently hit it while in tight spaces which is mildly annoying. The foam tray is nice and all the items fit well. I did notice that some of the spaces are crooked. So if you have a bit of OCD it might eat at you a little. Overall it’s a nice set and the fact that it’s also 3/8 drive plus an external hex gives greater flexibility that if it were just an external hex like a pass through socket. If I could make one suggestion what if the square drive was an insert and the ratchet had an open hex so that the sockets could be used either way? That’s the only improvement I would do to that set.

I got this set last week. Have already used it in the field. I work on Marine Transmissions where there’s not a whole lot of room. So the sockets are just the right size. Also like the Flats on the backside of the socket so you can put a wrench on it. Love the 80 tooth ratchet. The ratchet has a great wait and feels good in the palm of my hand. I have to say that I am truly impressed by the quality of these sockets. Biggest bang for the buck.

I got this set two weeks ago as a specialty set and found my self using it daily, the foam tray that the set came with is awsome. Also it is complete, there is no missing sizes.
