The Sunex 3608V Compound Joint Plier Set comes with 3 pliers. The compound joint allows for greater opening of the jaws with minimal handle movement. The straight and 45-degree nose pliers are designed with machined jaws and the duck bill has a broad nose design. All three pliers are made with Cr-V steel, flush rivets, and non-slip, comfort grip handles. For your convenience, this set comes in a roll pouch for easy transport and storage.

Let me start off by saying I am somewhat particular when it comes to pliers and am willing to pay more for the features and quality I want. That being said these go above and beyond in meeting my expectations. The fit and finish are both excellent and they are very comfortable to use because they fit the average hand well. The most important thing to remember with any tool but particularly these types of pliers is they aren’t for every job, they fill a specific need. You wont use these everyday in most cases but when you need them you’ll be glad you have them. As long as you use them in the appropriate way in the correct situation you wont be disappointed. Plus when you factor in the price and warranty you really cant go wrong.

Great pliers set. I am a flat rate technician for ford motor company. I use these daily and never have a problem with them. I especially like them for the eco boost hose clamps (duck bill pliers) for the price it’s definitely a must have in you’re tool box.

This set is one of those sets that you don’t know you need until you have it, then you wonder what you did without. They’re way more useful than regular long pliers because of the double joint which allows you to open them very wide without really moving the handles very much. The construction and quality of these pliers are top notch and can hang with all the big names but you don’t pay that huge price tag. If you’re thinking about picking these up, just do it…you won’t be disappointed.

The compound joints in these pliers really make a difference compared to pliers with single joints. You can operate them in tight spaces while being able to maintain a firm grip and the comfort-grip handles make it easy to hold on to the tool. The elastic bands on the roll-up storage pouch are a great convenience, too. It’s quick and easy to flip the bands over the roll and not worry about them coming loose. All in all a very nice set of pliers with well-thought-out features. Great job Sunex!!

If you aren’t familiar with Sunex tools, give these a try. I’m impressed with the quality of these pliers, from the material used on the grips to the precision movement and feel of the handles. The serrated jaws are nicely machined and hold on well to whatever you’re working on. These tools compare favorably with the tool truck brands in my opinion.

I work as an auto technician at a dealership and you will use this set frequently because it will make your jobs much easier for those hard to reach places. Not only will these make your job easier but when you use them you can immediately feel the quality when you handle them. They have a nice, sturdy weight and feel to them telling me they did not go cheap on the construction and the slip-resistant grips make holding the tool firmly very easy and comfortable. What I like best about these compound pliers is that the opening and closing action is equal so the action applied is the same on the other end.

Full disclosure: I received these free to test and review.I’ve only had them for a short period but they are somewhat studier in design compared to another brand I possess. They are also physically heavier but easy to operate. I only used the bent nose pair to help pry a pressure washer hose fitting that was stuck in the pump. And the straight pair to help pull some wiring on a buddy’s boat. The pouch is nice too. So far so good. I’ll check in later with update. As far as the value rating I guess it depends on where you get it and far how much.

Got this kit about a month ago & it seems like the only set out of it I’ve had to use is the angled needle nose. I’ve used them numerous times & like them more & more each time. Hopefully the others perform just as good.

If you are in need of a pair of pliers to reach into a deep well type area these are a great answer to that job. With the X frame design the handles do not need to open as far as with a regular pair of long pliers. The pliers are not stiff, like some new pliers but have a very smooth action from the get go. This makes one handed operation possible when you need to reach down into a tight space. Like an engine compartment.The tips on all 3 have nice sharp serrations for a good grip. No noticeable deflection in the nose, but there is some small deflection in the handles. Very nice roll pack you could throw in your tool bag.Overall a winner.

This is a great example of a tool that you don’t know you need until you have it in your hands. Anyone who does mechanical work has run into a problem where a fastener or connection of some sort is just out of reach for your hands or standard pliers. In this situation, these long-reach pliers are the right tool. About the pliers set: I was surprised that it comes in a nice fabric roll-up pouch. The pouch even has grommets at the top if you use hooks or pegboard to organize your tools. The pliers themselves are built well, have a nice finish and nice molded handles. I was worried that there might be lots of play in the mechanism because of the extra articulating joints, but was surprised that they were tight and durable feeling. The selection of tips is nice as well. Standard ‘needle-nose’ is useful for the most detailed work. The angled ‘needle-nose’ is a little less used in my case, but has its benefits. The ‘duck-bill’ ended set are my favorite! They have a nice flat jaw with good texture and are quite stout for less flex. Overall; I am happy with this pliers set and now am spoiled enough to not want to be without them!

The Sunex 3608v Long React Compound Pliers set seems to be a quality product. The Duck Bill and Bent Nose pliers are very solidly built, with no excess play in any of the pivot points. The straight Long Nose pliers in this set has a little movement in one pivot point, but I don’t think it will effect use or longevity. It just does not feel as solid as the other two. It is probably just this particular tool, and the solid feel of the other two can be expected with other tool sets . The handles are very comfortable and appear to be quite durable. I would expect this tool set to last a long time, even with heavy, consistent use.
