The Sunex 912313S 13-piece 1/4 in., 3/8 in. and 1/2 in. Drive Chrome Star Bit Socket Rail Set includes sizes from T8 to T60. Each bit is finished with zinc phosphate to protect against corrosion with high visibility markings for fast identification. The chamfered drive end allows the ratchet to be quickly guided into the socket and better protects both the socket and ratchet over time. All of this ensures our sockets professional-level performance, conveniently stored on an aluminum anodized rail for easy transportation.

To start I am a dyi guy. I am not a mechanic by trade. Saying this I have recently started working on my vehicles myself because I am so OCD. These sockets came in handy as soon as they arrived in the form of a Chevrolet brake rotor. The screw/bolt was either a T40 or T45 and stripped out and stuck! After a few bad words and a good tug it came loose. These sockets were built right and built strong. A full set of these in a blow molded case and I will be I’ll over it!

Star bit sockets aren’t something I use daily, but when I do need them I like to know I have a well built set and these are just that. They fit the fasteners great so there’s less chance of stripping the heads out. I also like that the 1/4” drive sizes go up to T30 because sometimes using a 3/8” ratchet with a T27 or T30 bit is too much force for a fastener. Besides the sockets, the socket rail is also very well built. The sockets stay in place and bonus points for the ends of the rail having rubber attached so it won’t slide around in a toolbox drawer or on a workbench. Overall I’m very happy with this set.

I love the black anodized aluminum socket rail this Star bit or Torx Socket set came with, it grips all of them without any chance of falling off, makes organization and space saving easy and just looks very cool. The high visibility of the writing of the sizes just makes them such a pleasure to use while they have some kind of laser etching maybe as well as the sizes stamped on them. What also stands out is the zinc phosphate coating to protect against oxidation which we have a big problem with here in the Northeast. All around great set and Im looking forward to Sunex’s future handtool lineup.

Sockets were as I expected. They done their job, fit into fasteners was excellent. Finish was very good and etching easy to read. Time will tell how they hold up. Overall I was very happy with the sockets.

I got these a few weeks ago too try out and see how they hold up. I’ve have used torques bits off the tool trucks for years and it seems like there quality has gone down on them. So I purchased these ones to see how they would hold up and compare. First off the quality is good on the sockets and the rail. They fit tight and handle the load when breaking the bolts loose. I’m happy with them and the will be my go to set from here on out!

Everything about this set is QUALITY. The rail that the sockets are mounted on is excellent from the solid holding power to the cushioned end caps. The sockets are clearly marked with the size and visible as indexed on the storage rail so my aging eyes do not have to grab 3 different ones to find the right size. The sizes in this set cover all of my needs plus. I put these to the test to see the durability and was not disappointed. I have twisted some cheaper brands when trying to loosen or securely tighten bolts but these have stood up to the test so far and are very durable. No slipping or knuckle busting. Another great product by SUNEX Tools!
