This little tool set has saved me hours in the shop! I have used bit sockets on this little wrench and it handled it like a pro. If you are doing interior work or even engine work you need this tool. Every mechanic or homeowner out there should own this tool. First thing that i noticed was that there were some small scratches in the chrome on the mini ratchet when I received it. The mechanism caught a couple times when I first started using it, may have been from the lack of lubrication on the teeth. **I opened the ratchet and put a little bit of lithium grease on the teeth to make it turn smoother**. The selector switch may change directions on you while using it. The bits are S2 steel and are very durable. The fitment of the bits is very good; none have stripped any screws. This set comes in a durable metal case, perfect for an emergency tool set to keep in your vehicle, or to keep around the house. I Highly recommend this to everyone out there, if you are thinking about buying this product I strongly urge you to buy it, you will not regret it.Pros: small and easy to fit into tight spaces, good fitment on fasteners, S2 steel, durable case, very strong magnets in the extension and the ratchet, lifetime warrantyCons: imperfections in chrome, lack of lubrication, selector switch**Please note that I do not suggest opening your ratchet as it may void your warranty and the ratchet is difficult to put back together

Being a professional mechanic, I have come across hundreds of bit kits over the years, in which the bits were the weak link. Not so in this case. This bit kit seems to be pretty well made (Taiwan). Comes nicely packaged (maybe overly so) in a see-thru aluminum case. As far as I could tell, the ratchet is 72 tooth and works smoothly, as does the reversing mechanism. The Sunex logo on the handle is laser etched, not a sticker. The bits are retained in the ratchet head by a magnet, and it holds them pretty securely, while still being easy to remove. The extension retains the bits with a locking slide collar, which also works smoothly. I haven’t had a chance to use all the bits, but the ones I have used fit the corresponding fasteners correctly, and in some cases retained their shape in rather “high torque” situations. Sunex, If there’s a downside at all, it might be nice to include some sort of bit driver handle to really make the kit complete (in my case I already happened to have one). Peak-Tested and approved.

Very nice set and the fine tooth ratchet is great and it’s magnetic, nice feature and comes in a great aluminum case! Only wish I had gotten the set with the sockets but great set. Our shop uses Sunex Tools daily and highly recommend them!

Received my Sunex 38 pc. mini ratchet and bit set in the mail and my first impression was it’s too small for the type of work I would use it for. I was surprisingly mistaken as I used it the next day to remove fasteners and door latches in a vehicle. The mini ratchet easily let me get into the tight space in the vehicle doors to remove the fasteners and latches. I used the torx bits with the extension, which are included in the set to complete the job. The ratchet fits perfect in the grip of your hand to loosen or secure fasteners. The ratchet is high quality and has a 72 tooth gear. The extension has a locking end to securely hold the bits. There are 36 assorted bits-torx, hex, phillips and standard in the most common sizes.

Had this kit for ages and ages, at least 6years, still keeps going. Gets into those tight behind dash places and the bits stay in the ratchet real well, still use it at least once a week

Good quality set for the price. The ratchet and bits look and feel well made and durable as well as the case. Fits into tight areas and very useful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I was in need of a small bit driver for tight spaces, and this tool fits the bill perfectly. The tiny ratchet is just what is necessary for getting into cramped areas such as behind a dashboard in a vehicle. This saves tons of time and frustration, as it is no longer necessary to disassemble additional components just to access hard-to-get-at fasteners. I was pleasantly surprised with the swing arc required to get engagement for the 72 tooth gear, and the short handle makes it possible to loosen and tighten screws and bolts when there isn’t room to turn a wrench or fit a screwdriver. The bits included should fit my needs for the forseeable future, but the great thing is that I can always use other bits if needed. The metal case has a window and a very nice latch. The foam storage for the bits is labeled, which is a huge plus for me since I like to keep my tools organized. The ability to grab a different apparatus for engaging a fastener when you run into an issue with what you have in your hand at a moment’s notice – without having to dig through unlabeled, unorganized tools – is the only way I like to work. To any mechanics or otherwise thinking of buying a bit driver, I highly recommend trying out this one before spending money on a tool truck brand or otherwise; you might find this one fits your needs and is just as good. This set is a great value for what it adds to your tool arsenal!

I have a Saturn coupe so a lot of the places I need to reach are small or inconvenient for normal tools. Having used this set made my life a lot easier when I needed to get under the dash to remove a bad cruise control solenoid.

I particularly like the case design on this set. Instead of just using blow-molded plastic, Sunex went with a nice aluminum case with a clear lid and a clearly labeled foam insert to keep everything well-organized. The ratchet handle is also well-made with a strong magnet to hold the bits in place and a nice ratcheting action that allows movement in tight areas. When you pick it up, it has the weight and feel of good quality. I like the quick-release extension, too. It holds the bits more securely than a standard magnetic extension would and makes sure you don’t leave a bit behind when you’re done. The set comes with a good assortment of bits that covers hex, phillips, flat-head, pozi-drive, and both tamper-proof and regular Torx screws. I’m sure I’ll be using this set for years to come.

I received my bit set last week just in time for race weekend. This set really came in handy working on our racers motorcycle getting into the tight spots where a stubby screwdriver won’t fit. Came in handy already this week working under the dash of a Lincoln navigator.

If you do any mechanical work on motorcycles, bicycles, or cars, you should get this set. When you need it, it is indispensable. The ratchet that came with the set is very nice. Appears to be a 72 tooth ratchet, which helps in tight situations (limited space to move ratchet). Finish is excellent, nice chrome. The bits are held in by magnetic force, which is the perfect strength. I have had some bit holders which have weak magnets, and bits or sockets won’t hold on well. Or worse, some are so strong I need pliers to pull the bits out. The magnetic force is perfect.I like the extension that comes with it. Spring locking end to hold bits — no chance that the bits will fall out, but easy to pull back the locking ring and bits fall right out. Very secure, nice designComes with a really good selection of bits: Phillips, pozidriv, flat blade screwdriver bits, torx, security torx, and hex (english only). The only bone I have to pick is I wish they included metric hex bits. Metric comes in handy, especially when working on bicycles (road bikes and mountain bikes) or motorcycles.Storage box is surprisingly nice too. Dense foam to hold bits, ratchet and extension.Overall, an excellent set, and excellent value.

This is one of the best little tool kits I have ever seen. It has everything in one tiny case. The service was great from Home Depot online. Excellent job.

This little mini ratchet set surprised me when I first received it. I was impressed with the aluminum case and foam holder for the bits. The bits and ratchet are magnetic and hold very nicely. Haven’t had one fall out yet. This set has been perfect for working in those tight spaces on vehicles.I do have to mention besides it’s use for mechanical work, it has also has been very useful at home. As a father of two children, a lot of baby and toddler furniture, especially a baby crib, come with hex bolts. In those tight spaces where a regular ratchet or socket won’t fit, this little ratchet has been a lifesaver and saved time putting things together. My one and only gripe that I have is that there is no metric hex bits but other than that I would strongly recommend this set.

The tools are engineered to perfection. Its a great set, although there are uses for normal screw drivers that this tool will not suit the job for.
