I bought this 11″ locking clamp to add to my collection and I am glad I did. It can be used around the garage for so many things besides holding pieces of metal while welding.I love using this clamp to retract brake caliper piston when changing brake pads. I took the picture with the bad caliper on the cart because of poor lighting conditions in the wheel well, but it works the same. I also use it to secure pieces of wood to the drill press, or to secure stop blocks against the fence of my miter saw. Easy to secure and remove.I also used my tool cart as a workbench when building a pedal stand for a digital piano and the clamp help me hold the piece of wood securely to the cart. There are many more use to this clamp and the large opening of 3-3/8″ and the throat depth of 2-1/4″ allows it to be used in almost any situation. One of the best and most versatile tool you can have in your shop. It does not replace other locking pliers, but it compliments them.

This is one of the best clamps I have ever used. I work in a body shop and we use these everyday. They will definitely hold up under pressure.

Just finished a welding project. They held tight even when getting bumped.

I received a much “needed” additional pair of locking c-clamp plies a few weeks ago and put them to work the next day. I have to say these work and lock as good if not better then the 12 plus other pairs that were being used that day..You know some times its hard to change brands after years of use because they always worked, but the quality has change on them.I think the new Sunex brand Locking C-Clamp is wise choice when you need to add a pair to your tool box or fab cart. * * * * *

I’ve used this for multiple applications. Held together metal panels for drilling. Retracted brake caliper pistons. Clamped to vehicle frame and used it with bungee cords to hold components out of the way. The smooth rounded tips allowed me to clamp glued plastic panels together without damaging the surfaces. It’s done everything I asked of it well,

It has a textured matte chrome finish that I like since it will provide you with better grip. I didn’t notice any excessive play in the hinge. I wish there was a extended release lever and a hole or hex in the adjustment knob so you can really lock down on stuff. I would recommend this clamp anyone based on the fit and finish.

This clamp is great! It’s easy to set then to release, then to reset. Very convenient. It’s really solid, holds material firmly and feels like a very high quality piece.

This locking clamp works extremely well. Not only does it hold incredibly tight when locked, but it works in all kinds of awkward angles that go along with this line of work.

Sunex makes pretty decent tools, some I have are better than gearwrench even. These are good quality and work great for what I need them for.

I received the 11 inch C clamp vise grips about a month ago, although they would be great for welding applications, I more so ordered them for keeping timing belts in place when setting time. Its nice to have another set of hands clamping the teeth of the belt to the proper position on cam and crankshaft sprockets. The last time I did one I wished I had this larger sized C clamp style so in the future I wont be caught without it. The tool appears to have similiar play in the pivot joints as other high quality similiar tools yet the main difference are the release lever and adjusting screw are made of a different material then the body of the tool. The throat and gripping capacity are huge!

Works as well as it’s, ViseGrip counter part. Would not think twice if I needed another.

These are as strong as my old school vies grip branded ones. Lots of cheap overseas made clamps that are frustrating to use but these. I use dozen more.

This 11″ locking c-clamp is my 1st locking clamp with a large jaw opening. I didn’t know what I was missing! It’s really useful for holding things like square tubing or angle iron together securely for drilling/welding/etc… Heck, I even used to it hold some plastic on the edge of a front bumper cover so I could plastic weld it back together. The clamp itself is built well and has a nice finish. If I had something to complain about, it would be that the adjustment knob is a little rough feeling when you turn it and the logo is hard to see in some light. Neither thing is really an issue though. The only really bad part is that I want a few more now. 🙂
